Actually I thought Broonie was doing ok until he gifted them the goal......after that his game went to pieces and the whole team came out in sympathy with him! I hope that I never have to go through another 10mins of that it was a nightmare. Someone said in the paper yest that the fluctuating fortunes of the OF are knocking years off their fans lives ........I can attest to that as the last couple of games have left me losing the will to live!

We can only wonder with each passing game which Celtic are going to turn up! Gorgeous George was looking good on the ball tonight and he looked really lively (was man of the match). McGeady was doing his best but he wasn't getting a whole lot of help from Naylor who once he passed him the ball left him to get on with it instead of running ahead to be in the position to receive it again. Maybe some of the players like Naylor are expecting too much of McGeady and getting a little lazy around him.

Still as someone said 3 points is 3 points and we still have 12 games to go so I'm staying optimistic :50:

Brown played well but made a mistake, that's life. Folk need to get over this blame culture that's growing ever present, you can't keep building up our players to be heroes in 1 game and villains in another.

I thought Naka was superb as well he was fighting for balls and he was using his bodyweight far better than usual getting in front of people.

Scoreline did flatter them as they played 9 men behind the ball in the first half then when they opened up a bit chasing an equaliser we found far more space to play in their half.

Hammer I'm in agreement with all those points :50:

The awful thing about our league and our postion in it is that there doesn't seem to be any margin for error and there's a constant pressure to do well all of the time. In any other job you can have an off day and no one will think anymore of it but in football such is the desire for total success the fans and the media can be cruel and unforgiving. That's why some players never make it here.

12 games? Is that including the scottish cup? From what I've seen we have 5 more SPL matches left with 2 that were postponed and should be played soon?

Even though ive been a fan of Brown ever since he got here, i though both him and Donati were poor tonight - Samaras looked good but sold too many people short on a few passes. On the plus side i thought Naka and Hinkel linked up well on the right (especially in the first half) - if it wasn't for Brown's moment of madness it would have been a comfortable 2 or 3 to nothing and we would all be saying it was a decent enough night. 3 points is all that matters right now lets save the awesome performance for tuesday

Brown needs to be left out for a few weeks now.
He has been ineffective all season.
Last nights mistake was incredible, passing the ball across your penalty box, christ that's drummed out of you at under 9's level. :31:

    Donati pish as per usual.
    Naylor.........................................................:bbpd:

Good goal by Samaras, and unlucky hitting the post.
    Scotty played well as usual.
Naka in and out but played ok.

TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU, A THINK BROWN HAS BEEN INEFFECTIVE FOR MOST OF THE SEASON NOW A STILL THINK HE'LL BE A GOOD PLAYER FOR US THOUGH BUT HE NEEDS A KICK UP THE *. THE DEFENCE IS TOTALLY WOEFUL THERES NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL BETWEEN THE PLAYERS LAST NIGHT TWO CELTIC PLAYERS WERE GOIN FOR THE SAME BALL BANGIN INTO EACH OTHER. GET BOBO IN THERE OR O'DEA. THE PAST FEW MONTHS STRACHAN HAS WON OVER SOME OF THE FANS BUT IF HE PERSISTS IN PLAYING CALDWELL :31: THIS WILL DEFINATELY CHANGE.

i think the problem with brown allthough i rate him is he tries to hard to impress , if he slowed down a bit by one second and have that quick look i think he would come on leaps and bounds ,all the really good players manage to get that extra sec just to see that next pass

:56:at folk saying Donati was poor and he was pish. His reading of the game was second to none and his passing, especially long diagonals, were actually amazing to watch in person they were inch perfect. If you think that's him playing pish, as he has done a good few times for us, then he has no chance of changing your opinion of him.

I was watching yesterday thinking he could be a real key player for us in Barca if he's in the mood and starts spraying them balls about like that.

I thought Donati was a bit lazy but he does control the ball before passing and had a few good long diagonal passes as mentioned above but still needs to step up his game. Caldwell didn't impress me much either tbh.

Good goal by Samaras. Don't think enough players were getting into spaces for McGeady to pass to but a win's a win!!!

    Roll on Barca....

Thought Donati started very well but faded a wee bit..Needs someone to bully the midfield around him and it's not Brown..yet anyways..
He is very composed on the ball but some see that as slowing the game down for no reason i think...
Think he will be a very good player for us next season though

The fixtures you've seen are only to the split.. We then have 5 games against the rest of the top six. 3 games at home and 2 away..

I think it's just a case of wait and see what happens in the summer. We have a number of players who've been given every chance by Strachan and they still haven't nailed down the position as their own..
