The referee being, of course, the brother of former Rangers and Northern Ireland defender Brian McLean (born in Rutherglen, though).

If Aiden McGeady had a brother, I wonder if he would ever get to be a top-flight referee in Scotland?

He was already booked as well. Right in front of the ref and he did nothing. Disgrace.

    Aye, 50,014.

Couldn't see the majority of the top tier as I was sitting right next to the GB today for a change.

He's obviously very similar to his brother - a bitter *.

How did Ledley score and why was Majstorović sent off?

They've been showing Ledleys goal on Sky .....it looked so easy :icon_mrgreen: Big Maj didn't deserve to be sent off.

I've never in my life seen such a poor refereeing performance, in particular with decisions given against us. I wish both Lennon and Butcher (who apparently had his own gripes) had hammered him in the post-match interviews and alert the SFA.

Majstorovic red was an absolute disgrace. Maybe the replays will make me change my mind but it's almost as if the referee blew his whistle a good 10-15 seconds after the incident as if he was thinking about the opportunity he had to put us down to 10 men.

In fairness we've caught a couple of breaks this season with decisions (Hearts Wednesday; Rangers at CP) but it's not as if they've been easy, blatantly obvious split-second calls. Today was an utter disgrace.

As for our performance we weren't great but we got the result (and were in no way helped by some of the decisions) which at the end of the day is all that matters.

We've had some bad referees in our time.....but today we may have hit a new low. decision after decision wrong, wrong, wrong !
This was either levels of ineptitude that deserves demotion to a lower level.........or plain and simple cheating that deserves the sack.
i hope that by winning the match it doesnt lessen the stance we as a support and a club should take against this fool.

I'm just glad we got the 3 points because that's the sort of win that could give us the title. The referee needs to take a good look at himself after a performance like that as his wrong decisions can cost teams their deserved wins.

Another 3 points on the board and that's all that matters at the moment.

No doubt about it the ref today was brutal, one of the worst displays i've seen.

Well we got the 3 points today but what a disgrace that referee was today. It was almost as if after everybody in the anti Celtic brigade had spent the last few days whinging about the goal not given early in the diet huns game for them that McLean decided today he was going to make sure that the score was more then evened up.

Firstly clearly Foran should have got a second yellow and red for his head lock and throwing Brown to the ground. But then the red card on Majstorovic was beyond a joke. Aside from the fact Majstorovic got the ball when you see the replay from behind in other words from the refs angle you simply cannot see the incident at all in terms . Yet despite the linesman who did have clear line of sight on the incident not putting his flag up he makes the call and red cards Majstorovic. An absolute disgrace.

Wednesday we got a single break which given our performance would not have changed the outcome of the game even if it was given. Today we had 2 massive decisions which materially affected the game go against us but thankfully we were able to hang onto the lead despite that.

Tbh I think the Ref and his team were just inept  I don't think it had anything to do with trying to cheat us as he got quite a few wrong for caley. They just weren't up to the job and it was plain for all to see.

3 points the main thing. Not a great attacking performance but strangely I never felt threatened with only being the one goal ahead, we just don't look like losing a goal just now.

I thought Sammy, Broony, Joe and Adam Matthews were the standouts.

    The juggernaut rolls on! :celt_2:

Poor game but an important 3 points.

It was games like this we were failing to win earlier in the season.

I hate how we always make it hard work for ourselves though, a one goal lead is edgy and we should be putting more than that away at home.

I don't even think we had many shots on target today?

Thought Majstorovic's sending off was harsh but would like to see it again as it was at the other end of the pitch.

However I thought the refereeing was shocking today.

The same Forrest with two assists in our last two games. His cross for Ledley's goal was a thing of beauty. bent it around the first man and gave Ledley a tap in.

He's not a right midfielder, he's a winger who's main job is to create and get forward not to get stuck in. He was also far from lazy today, ran himself into the ground once we went down to ten.

Good result and a competent performance. Ref and lines men were shocking obviously. Thought the team showed good character and organization to hold on. Honestly, though he had been better before the injury, I don't really want to see Maj in the squad again. Too many times he put the team in a bad position by over committing on challenges outside the box then leaving himself way out of position. I agree that the red was harsh but he brought it on himself by jogging to the ball before he realised there was a man in behind him. With anyone else I'd try to give the benefit of the doubt as he's just back from injury but, as far as I can see, this has been his m.o. since signing. We've got Rogne, Charlie, Kelvin and Loovens and I'd put any of them in ahead of Maj.
Anyway, enough negative, I though Broony was outstanding, Ledley was a machine, Matthews plays like a 30 year old (in a good way) and Sammy was excellent. All in all I'm pleased.
