Poor play or not it was NOT a red card, it was NOT even a foul.

He might have played like a donkey but that does not in itself merit a red card which really harmed our play.

He's in the huff and * off with the ref??!! What the * has he got to be * off about? That reminds me of Steven Pressley's rant on the ref when we played Falkirk a couple of weeks back. Pressley was * at the ref but he was * off over a LEGITIMATE penalty (and seems to forget who had a goal wrongly flagged for offside).

I think certain managers need to watch the same game as the rest of us and try and get their views in order before spouting a whole load of verbal diarrhea.

 

Have we seen another angle yet, cos there is no way anyone can tell from the Ch67 feed!

When I first saw it I thought it was a foul.. and therefore a red.

The main thing to take from it all though is that Daniel Majstorovic should not be handed a contract extension! The only thing worse than a rank awful defender is a rank awful defender who actually thinks he's Maldini. Maj unfortunately fits into the second category!

I did not.
It was a foul though. It wouldn't have been a yellow, IF a first offence. But he was at it the whole game, had been booked already.
So what I'm trying to say is........*'em

 

Of course it doesn't mate.i wasn't saying that.but his absolutly shocking defending gave the ref a decision to make that he shouldn't have had.

Champions performance. Even though it was one of those days where we didn't make many chances every single player fought for it and gave 110% for those 3 points, excellent performance Celtic! Dead happy with that.

But for me there was no decision to be made. He was the only guy in the ground that thought there was. He knew he * it and even tried to absolve blame to his linesman.

 

We ground out the win at the end and I thought we played very well overall. I always thought this might be the toughest of the three games we have just came through and it turned out that way.I thought Ledley, Brown and Samaras were all outstanding. As for Maj, well it was Sion all over again, Deja Vu, tackling the guy from behind in a sliding tackle gave the referee the option to send him off.

I think I see what you're saying here mate but it sounds like you're saying the ref had to send him off purely because he was * for that incident, whether it was a foul or not :icon_mrgreen:

Maybe Lennon gave Maj the nod because of the way he was playing before his injury because he was starting to play better and getting confidence back.

I do agree that Maj is still a bombscare though but based on the previous performances before his injury I couldn't blame Lennon for giving him a start.

He wouldn't be my first pick for matches though in all honesty.

 

Normally slate folks on here for all the 'game was pish', 'we were *' stuff, but that was grim today. Players absolutely need to remain focussed and professional, though that said, I thought the decision to play Sami today was wrong (though he played well). I dont think we need a target man at home against Caley thistle.a straight forward 442 today with some width and Stokes with Hooper would have seen them off.

I beg wee Lenny not to try things out and tinker when not necessary (I know we have played this before and frequently recently).

Needless to say a welcome 3 points and we march on, thank *.

I agree.stokes should always start up front before sammy.im all for sammy playing out wide.today was more like a 4-5-1 with sammy playing so wide.whether that was Lennys tactic or not I don't know,either way we shouldn't be playing 4-5-1 at home
