I genuinely think Griffiths would and could score in the group stages. He seems to finish his half chances better than he manages to finish one on ones, which I think he is terrible at btw. Its almost like he is better at finishing instinctively because theres less time to think about what he is going to do with the ball. That * Miller across the city is the exact same. My point being he will get more half chances in the group stage than he will clear cut chances.

Nerves are creeping in but after the last two years is say this is the time for this team to step up and do the business. We've added quality, got a couple of key players back from injury, and have a manager who is tactically aware.

Griffiths got 2 at home to Malmo last year so I think hes proven that he can do it at this level despite the doubters who can never be pleased. This is a game were a 1-0 scrapy win will be a great result, any victory with a clean sheet is a brilliant nights work. Hapoel dont seem to score much but do seem very tough at the back, any chances must be taken tonight.

 

If we score early tonight, I reckon we will win by a few. The worry is that we struggle to break them down, and nerves creep into the support the longer the game goes at 0-0. We got one early against Malmo and they crumbled in the early stages, but we let them off the hook. I think we would see something similar tonight if we get one early, but I think we would put the tie out of reach this time round.

 

I agree with that. The players we have going forward, especially with Roberts likely to be back, I can't see us not scoring over there in the return leg.

 

We'll deffo score over there..
