I find it hard to understand how Guidetti only got one chance in the sixty minutes, yet we had most of the procession and in Hamilton's half of the field . I thought he controlled the ball brilliantly before putting the ball the wrong side of the post .

Why did it work that day?

Whats the difference between how Dundee Utd set up and approach the game compared to how the rest of the league set up and approach the game?

Look at that and then you'll realise why Deila's tactics worked.

This is how Deilas old team played, in the summer I was bored so watched all I could of them. I was actually thinking before the Hamilton game we were on the edge of hammering someone, I think that game was a freak result and still think we're going somewhere.

Only seen the highlights but it seemed like we played some good stuff. If even 3 of those chances go in everybody is happy.

I will watch the full match though before commenting further.

DU do play a more open type of game and build from the back compared to the rest of the league but Hamilton and Inverness are quite similar in that sense and we lost both they games. Everything was spot on against DU and we'd have blown away any team in Scotland with that type of performance.

We did have many chances, however Hamilton looked the better team, and if they had taken their other two gilt edged chances we would have been skelped 3-0 by Hamilton.

It was overall a highly frustrating 90 minutes.

The missed opportunities aside, we seen some awful passing, terrible crossing and wasted set pieces. After the Hamilton goal some of the players looked lost and the heads went down with a few which * me off most of all.

But as you said, if we took our chances, we might have won the match regardless.

Ronny should realise that though and act accordingly.

You can't just play one system and hope it works against everyone, you have to adapt.

Everyone on the team seems to have a licence to go forward . Both fullbacks can be well forward as well as the two midfielders and if the ball is cleared by the opposition it is quite possible that Virgil or Deyenor will stroll forward with the ball right up to about 35 yards and then wonder what to do with it . I am sure that system has never been properly tested .
We give our opponents to much space in front of our goals and too many opportunities to shoot .

Getting rid of Deila even if we feel he isn't doing a good job . Who is to say his replacement wouldn't even do a worse job . Appointing a new manager is always a risky business and surely if we sack someone after a couple of months it's unlikely we will attract anyone who has a good knowledge of the game .

If Deila get sacked, we will only end up with another manager similar. There is a reason Deila is in charge of us, and it's looking more and more likely it was because he was the only person that wanted it.
