he hasn't been * effective in the last couple of weeks and a think ever body thought after the peterhead game that he would go onto and excellent run of form which didn't happen. a think lennon demands more of him because he sees the potential that stokesy has and he needs somebody to challenge and be hard on him to get the best from him. if he was given a manger who wasn't as hard on him like roy keane at sunderland then he would slip back down to the path he was on there and a think stokesy would admit that

I thought Falkirk's wing play was very good today.

Today I showed everyone I'm not a striker, should've scored 3! Luckily we got Big Hoops and Stokes! Nice to have a final to look forward to

Wall was * and there wasn't much pace on the ball, so maybe. Anthony played it well, though.

Stokes was really poor, but he scored twice, proves how good a player he is.

    The result is what counts.

Lennon was spot-on about the atmosphere though ... anyone else find it really quiet?

Shame the game wasn't played at Celtic Park.

Thought Falkirk played some excellent football today, nice to see a Scottish club play like that.

We didn't play as well as we can, but it's another win and a win where things were going against us in terms of two refereeing decisions that should have went our way, so it's nice to see us winning when we're not at our best and also when things aren't going our way.

Even though we weren't at our best, we could have scored six or seven goals today. We need to be a bit more ruthless when in goalscoring positions.

I thought bringing Ki on brought us a bit of composure and we managed to move the ball a bit more quickly when he came on.

Good to see Stokes get a couple of goals because he hasn't been at his best for a few weeks now. Don't think he was that great today either, but it's hard to complain when he's got a couple of goals for us.

Anyway, delighted that we're in the final.

Just back from the game. Had a decent view of Lennon bouncing around the touchline and apparently passed John Kennedy before the game (without noticing)!

Any idea when the tickets for the final go on sale?

That will do. 14 in a row now, cruising along.

We need to be a bit sharper though, a few players have went off the boil recently.

Wanyama was a bit slack first half, Cha is terrible I'm sorry to say and Izzy clearly isn't fully fit yet.

But yet again Lenny makes the correct subs at the right time and that has really been a feature of his management recently.

Fair play to Falkirk as well for having a go, they have some really good young players coming through for them.

Edit. LOL at the tags for this thread.

The final, is it deffo going to be held the day after Paddys day? Making the Dunfermline game be re-arranged?

Bit of a gutter that had train tickets booked for the 17th :(

Didn't play particularly well, a few players seemed to dip today.
Thought Ledley, Brown, Mulgrew and Rogne played very well. Good double save from Forster again.

Falkirk played well. They were going to scrap their youth program just before christmas, too. Good job they never.

    Delighted we're in the final!

BUT, that was utterly woeful. Our recent record has been nothing short of amazing; it still doesn't hide the fact that we are a very, very average side. Some of the 'football' today was an embarassment.

Did the Kilmarnock manager roll out the old cliche of 'that was a great advertisement for Scottish football' pish at the end? I suppose it's an accurate representation of our game just now.

Anyway, delighted to be in the final. Just wish that the performance was about 50% better.

We're not a "very, very average side". We have went off the boil lately but we have seen plenty from this team to know there is much more to come.
