    Exactly :50:

We are talking about a team of professional football who are capable of playing on a European level and have been scouted from around the globe, against a part time team made up of plumbers and workmen.

It shouldnt matter if the stadium was completely empty. They would have beaten a team like this if they put any level of effort it. They didnt and trying to blame the fans is just daft in my opinion.

Besides, if it really is a lack of atmosphere causing the issue then the club should slash prices and get people in for free. Because they are taking the * by charging what they are to watch a team that clearly cannot be bothered.

He maybe has not said it straight up but he has implied on numerous occasions. After the Arbroath game he said "Wednesday night will be a different opposition, a different team out and a different atmosphere,". The atmosphere shouldn't be a factor in the SPL or domestic cup games. They get paid much more than all their competition so professional pride should motivate them to go out and perform.

I loved the entertain value under Tommy Burns and Martin O'Neill, great football, imo. Even the last two season I thought we were improving under NL but this season has been boring and its nothing to do with the dead Huns, its our poor play.

If you actually read my full post mate, you would have realised that I wasn't only referring to the poor results this season but every home SPL game. The performances have been a disgrace even the wins. At least Tommy Burns and MON gave us a bit of excitement and made sure the players gave 100%.

Proves everything, lassad was scared and turned his back then the ball deflected off him, no wonder Lenny is angry

They can be yes, but this one isn't. He ducks behind Rogne and sticks his foot out which the ball comes off and goes into the net. Watch the highlights on BBC.

Yes. If he had just stood in the wall it would never have went in.

Big deal! Lassad made a mistake in the wall, we should have still beat them 4 or 5 - 1! Let's not forget our own goal was a deflection. It's just not good enough!

All true but none of it changes the fact that we would have won if Lassad wasn't scared of getting hit with the ball.

    I'm not picky.
No we would have won if the players could find the back of the net on their OWN.

To blame Lassad for us not scoring enough out of 19 shots is ridiculous.

You could say Lassad, was to blame, you could blame the person who gave away the free kick. The main thing is we're still in the competition and we can make up for it. Everybody looks for one person to blame, but for Arbroath, it's the biggest game of their careers and they played like their lives depended on it. It's about commitment and determination and one or two players have been found wanting in both departments.

Me personally, i thought the turning point was Scott Brown's miss. That's the game changer right there.

I cannot believe i'm seeing Lassad getting blamed for a 1-1 draw at home to Arbroath in the 88th minute. If the team turn up with the right attitude, by the 88th minute, a goal from them should be nothing more than little bit of history for the guy that scored the goal, in what was a consolation. We had quite a strong first team out, let's not forget this, and we couldn't beat a second division team on our home turf. The full team need to take a good look at themselves. Blaming someone that has come off the bench for a 1-1 draw at home to Arbroath. Give me a break eh ffs.

Shouldn't, but is, and whether or not that's ok the fans should still be giving the team their full backing. Yes the players should be able to beat Arbroath regardless of the atmosphere, but the atmosphere still gives them that edge. As H67 keeps saying, how often do you hear players going on about the part played by the fans after a big European win? There's no reason that atmosphere shouldn't translate to smaller games.

So a team comprising of Matthews, Ambrose, Rogne, Brown, Miku and Wanyama is not a fairly storng team. With, Kayal, Izaguirre and Lassad coming off the bench. Bearing in mind our opponents are part time second division players. We shouldn't have needed to play any first team players and win comfortably.

I agree, our reserves should be able to beat Arbroath. Just pointing out that we were playing with largely a reserve team, not, as you put it 'quite a strong first team'.

Ibrahim, McGeouch and Chalmers were the only reserve players that played to be fair.

Of the starting line up, Ambrose, Brown and Wanyama would be the only players I'd have starting on Wednesday.
