Glad we won. Was a strange game. We should have buried the game in the first half; don't remember Aberdeen having a shot on target. Aberdeen usually counter-attack at Parkhead while we have the lisbon lions share of posession, but we played them at their own game and sat deep to pick them off on the counter. If Commons had buried one of his strikes or played someone through earlier we would have been a few up easily. Everyone seemed a bit slow in playing the final through ball, ended up caught offside of having to go back.

Guidetti - looked comfortable in posession with good feet. Had a great chance to shoot until Mcgregor nicked the ball and gave it away.

Tonev - looked a bit uncomfortable on the ball at times, but I imagine just trying to get up to speed.

Sceptovic - needed some more service, made good runs and was open throughout the first half. Was it him that scored the offside goal? Was a calm finish whoever it was.

Think Mcgregor needs to use his right foot more. Johansen needs to sort out his unforced errors with simlple passes. Brown was brilliant and has become a great captain. Ambrose and Izzy had good games.

Yes, it was. Liked the look of that finish, plenty of conviction.

I don't think too many Celtic fans would be over excited by a £9 drop in admission . If £9 was the difference between going or not attending , then maybe the fan just hasn't the real Celtic feeling that so many have . Those of us who travel from England the North and South of Scotland and Ireland wouldn't really notice a £9 reduction . People go to Celtic matches because of the love of Celtic in their hearts not because of sound financial reasoning .

Steviebhoy if you want to go to German matches by all means go .
Over 80,000 went to watch amateurs play a game of hurling last Sunday in Dublin and most paid £80 euros . Like attending Celtic matches , these people went of their own free will because they wanted to be there .

The only reason they paid 80 is because it's the all-Ireland final nobody would pay that for any other match

Funny enough I was well pleased with Izzy today . However your opinion that he just needs more match fitness is at odds with the "experts" on here after our last league match who said he needed a rest .
Myself I think like all full backs he needs support especially when he is targeted . I thought today Virgil was over towards his side helping him out and I thought Tonev didn't give the player(s) ahead of him as much time to pick out their pass to exploit his isolation .
    I haven't a notion if he needs a rest , or more matches , probably neither .

To me, 20 quid looks alot better than £29.

If you look at ticket prices around Europe(barring the english prem) we cannot justify that price. With the atmosphere in the ground as it is at the moment we should be desperate to convince people through the doors for home games.

It's not a question of a fan's passion for the club either. Close to 30 quid for a game like that and 25 quid every other game is not right, if anything it's the fan's who are willing to pay that week in week out being taken for a ride by those in charge of pricing.

That's how I see it anyway.

Same as me. The worst of it is that we play exactly the same way regardless of opponent, of the squad we have, the situation in the game. Why did we hire two good strikers if only one of them will play? This formation doesn't suit scottish football and our wingers are not Messi and Neymar. Doesn't work, it visibly doesn't work yet Ronny insists with it.

He is a very open minded and modern manager about some matters (building a dome for training indoors, switching to winter football, giving a chance to Kayal and McGregor) but this formation is * me off

Pretty much my gripe at the minute.

playing one up top never does the striker any favours, its a lonely job, but you think of every succesfull team over the past ten years, and everyone play this way now. its either 4 2 3 1 or 4 3 3, gone are the days were we see 2 strikers make a partnership, its pretty sad

£9 over at least 38 games is an extra £342, it adds up.
