I'd imagine Gerard's job next year is to shore up the midfield and defense...then they'll be title winners.

 

I think he wanted to play the cup final team but after that performance imagine there could be a few changes.

Brendans subs were poor today as well, thought we definitely needed Roberts on and just keep Moussa on for a bit longer with Griff up top as well. Rogic and Forrest should of been off.

 

Aye but it's our lowest goals tally in over a decade and first time we've scored less than 2 game on average in the league since the Mowbray season. I think we need fresh blood up front to improve it, especially with Roberts loan deal over, no guarantee yet of Edouard returning and Dembele heavily linked away. Under Rodgers we're an attacking team, it's not like under Strachan where we focused more on grinding out results at times. Need to improve that goal tally.

Agree need to start playing 2 striker s up front again, was always the Celtic way before delia, teams know how to snuff out 1 striker when we play at home

The most alarming part of today was when my wife asked if Compper was part of the coaching staff coz she'd never seen him before

Was at the game today. Very disappointed with the result and the performance. McGregor and Rogic in particular had howlers. The strikers have been criticised often this season but they haven't been given the support required. As class as Dembele, Griffiths and Edouard are, they're not miracle workers and the team needs to work in cohesion for us to succeed.

I like how BR mentioned the loss the first thing in his speech. It was odd for me considering I was happy to see the trophy but I was annoyed at how we had lost the game.

Obviously delighted with winning the league title once again and yes, it's a bit rich to complain considering we're on the verge of a double treble. But this team does feel like it's gone stale. Majority of the team has been here since the Deila era. We need some fresh blood and, more importantly, players who will be hungry to achieve success.

I'm not concerned at all about not winning 8-in-a-row, but if we want to make it easier on ourselves we need to treat each game as proper, serious competition instead of a * about. Deila got four points more in his last season and got chased out of Glasgow for being seen as disappointing. It's no coincidence that we've dropped points against teams we rattled hard last season. Killie were rotten earlier this season, thumped them 5-1 in the League Cup with a second string team with KT scoring a wonder goal, and they're unbeaten under Steve Clarke with the same players (aside from Mulumbu).

Having said that, love the Celtic and always will. The bus back from Glasgow was bouncing and I won £20 on the bus raffle. So all in all, not too shabby a day.

And Shay Logan is a bell end. I actually have sympathy for him over the Tonev incident - I've kept quiet whenever Logan's been booed by Celtic fans and it's not a discussion I'd like to get into - , but physically provoking the likes of Griffiths, Brown, Lustig, Ajer and Boyata (majority who weren't even here when Tonev happened and have never racially abused him on the pitch) doesn't endear him much to sympathetic fans. But if it's true that he punched Ajer then I've lost all sympathy for him.

But hey I hear they give out trophies for beating us nowadays. So while we lift our seventh league trophy in a row, he can sit in the dressing room and consider himself as a badge beating mediocre hero for Aberdeen.

 

call me daft but it seemed like we got to their 18 yard box then tryed not to score,griffiths had an easy chance too like hibs game. our passing was wayward and lacked intensity to shift up through the gears , credit to aberdeen though they deserved 2nd.

 

About to watch this on sportscene and get raging all over again.

What league or cup did sevco win with those extra goals?

 

Is it just me getting older or is their a spoiled * element to our support now! I can’t believe how quickly the stadium emptied today as the players where still walking round! For me you stay there to the last * walks off the pitch and savour every title like it’s your last regardless of the result!!!

 

Hopefully next season we see Shay Logan and Graeme Shinnie have career ending injuries in addition to another treble.

 

Trophy days never get tired as in football u never know whats round the corner..hopefully more trophies enjoy it.
