I was agreeing with you until you said we need Scott McDonald. I don't think Scott McDonald is the answer, we need better. Mowbray needs to go and buy a proven goalscorer.

:eek1: :52: Just realised. That is quite a bit more worrying. We definitely can't afford to drop anymore points up to the next OF game.

The OF games is not a worry at this stage, its every game, we have hibs up next at parkhead and another train crash could be on the cards

That's why I said 'Unless there is another striker coming in then Scott McDonald MUST play'. :50:

Boruc - bit 'iffy' at times but overall a good performance 8/10
Hinkel - didnt really notice him when watching it on my stream so cant rate.
O'Dea - utter *, back to reading you go my son.. 2/10
    McManus - * again as per.. 2/10
Naylor - not bad, but not good either.. 6/10
Ki - good debut for the wee guy - 8/10
Crosas - not good, would've expected more from him - 6/10
    Zhi - very poor today - 4/10
McGeady - complete and uter * by his standards - 3/10
Samaras - 'meh' performance by him - 5/10
Fortune - same as naylor really, not good but not bad - 5/10

    McGinn - played ok - 7/10
Thompson - great game by the wee man - 9/10
McCourt - my stream went off when he came on so didnt even know he was playing until the last few minutes, played well for them few minutes - 7/10

overall a * performance by the team - Mowbray just HAS to get sacked within the next 2/3 days

I completely agree. That's why I said 'we can't afford to drop any more points'. There is no game I expect us to win nowadays. My meaning is more along the lines of: we must win every game up to the OF, to make sure we are still in contention.

Average, doesn't seem to have any pace. Let his man get past him a few times but he's still young.

Lazy display from the majority of players today. Was bored shitless for pretty much the entire first half, then frustrated beyond belief for most of the second.

Agreed that Ki had a half-decent game, and Sammy had a few moments, but overall it was mince. Lacklustre is the best way to describe it. Not even bad, just boring.

From today's performance McGready can * right off to Birmingham. Been a big defender of his for the last year when people have been bad-mouthing him, but when he tries to go past 4 guys and * it up for the tenth time in a game my words are empty.

I don't have a season ticket, and get to as many games as I can, but after that I've got to wonder why I bother paying £25 to sit in the cold bored. I can do that at home for free.

i was just reading some of your posts about a cb pairing would anyone go with hooiveld and thompson for next game

i know thompson is still young and inexperienced but if you look at his performance today its wat everyone has been lookin for a big, solid , no nonsence defender who wants to play for the club and sum of you may say he is young but look at wilson for the manky mob

just a thought wat do yous think?

    hail hail

I posted this in another thread,i think it can be posted here too.

We need a striker who can finish half chances,we don't have that yet and that's only part moggas fault.

He wanted fortune on the basis he would provide for the likes of Samaras and McDonald however both these players have been *,this is not a failing on TM as far as i'm concerned this is on the players shoulders!

Asking for him to be removed from his position is both childish and narrow minded,he at leasts deserves the opportunity to get rid of the dead beats from the WGS era before we make assessments.

He may still get an out and out finisher and then we are half way there.

What i can say is today we was far from bright but we created a lot of chances and once again failed to take them,as manager there's only so much you can do and blame must then fall on the shoulders of our attacking players who just can't find any consistent form.

There was some positives though,we created many chances and with a better line up front those would have at least been on target,Ki played some amazing balls as did Zi (and later McCourt) Josh thompson looks assured aswel and has some pace for a massive lad.

The fragility lies with the players simple.

McGeady: Showed glimpses of brilliance but tries yet again to do too much and his final ball is at best *...(today)

Samaras/fortune: Both worked very hard but both are of similar mould so they don't compliment each other and can't really set one an other up.

Ki/Zi/crosas all had a decent game with Ki being the best especially with the ball and on set pieces.

Defence wise O'Dea for me proved he should not be a Celtic player not now not ever,he got bullied too much for his frame and imo cocked up for the goal,as did McManus with his flounder further down park which eventually resulted in his injury... when josh came on he steadied the ship considerably however the fullbacks where very very poor in particular Naylor.

All in all i think individual errors cost us 3 points and not anything the manager did or didn't do.

This type of consistency (or lack of) has been ever present since WGS was manager and you cannot expect to see results from TM straight away,if you are actually honest with yourselves you know we have improved greatly since WGS but we still have that element of players who simply are not good enough.

This is my view taking everything into account and not just this game,i will support mogga going into next season as i believe he will right the wrongs currently at the club. Calling for the axe to fall is what will keep us in this situation for seasons to come if you aren't careful.

Think he's maybe a bit too slow tbh, other than that he was ok today.

    Agreed with Marty.
I think it's just a few individuals that have let us down time and time again and mogga is clearly trying to ship them out. Then again he has to take a bit of blame, but sacking him would just make things worse.
We CAN still win the league, but this month is crucial both in who we buy and how we perform on the pitch.

    That was absolutely * today.

McGeady - wasn't bad at beating players, final ball was poor or he always tried to take on one too many when he should've played the easy pass.
Samaras - extremely frustrating as usual, I really don't rate this guy. His tunnel vision is unbelievable, he's gotta be running with blinkers on. Never puts in a challenge either and just gives up when he loses the ball, no determination whatsoever.
Fortune and Samaras are a terrible partnership, neither of these two muppets seem to know where the box is, the sooner Skippy is back, the better.
Hinkel - poor today, was asleep for most of the game, not great going forward either.
O'Dea - shocking, obviously not strong and physical enough when we conceded the goal.
Thompson - looked ok, not fast enough though, lost his man a few times.
Ki - looks good this guy, hopefully he can improve and settle in well.

Something has to be done, there is no leader on that park and * all quality up front.
We get the same old * "Take it on the chin and move on" from Mogga, this must be one * of a chin he's got:

Nail on heid. I think Mogga has a simple philosophy that you play the best football and you win. Reality is not like that. Personality and experience is crucial.

no real fight or desire today still say mcmanus was fouled in lead up to goal falkirk bullied the team aided by a lenient ref and a celtic forward line that played like strangers
