Why don't people hit penalties high and to the side, anything at about head height and to a side is almost a guaranteed goal

 

My worry is the corners for them. They have big units.

 

We have missed a huge opportunity to be at least a couple of goals ahead. I still believe we will win but YB will re-group and the manager will tweek things tactically to try to nullify us. There is absolutely no guarantee the second half will be so one sided.

 

Never going to get a better chance than this in the CL. They are there for the taking. Let’s go for it and not * it up

Frustrating but big difference between thus and some of our recent games where we've struggled with a cutting edge.

I always say just smash it high down the middle, but smashing it most places will be a goal. Only so fast a person can move.

Not a big fan of those types of penalties to be honest. He’s such a clean striker of the ball, I would just pick a side and leather it in.

By all means, tip the scales by disguising which side as best you can, but fundamentally strike a clean penalty into the corner as a minimum.

Waiting for the keeper to move is risky IMO.

 

What’s the chances a point will be enough to qualify?
