just back from game. quite impressed by our performance in th e first half. got to say kayal really looks the part as does juarez. second half we obviously just sat back to keep the clean sheet and we looked reasonably comfortable. majstorovic may turn out to be our best signing this season, he won everything in the air and was composed on the ball,in fact he he managed to be composed when loovens was on the ball. sammy was good first half poor the second. my biggest concern is zaluska, he cant seem to go a full game without doing somethin stupid. does anyone know what he was doingwhen he came chargin out to the edge of his box. overall it was quite good but still some areas where we can greatly improve

Looked a good game. Two very good goals, well worked, great pass from Kayal and we need more of that.

Hello folks just new to forums. I think kayal is going to be a cracking player for us, looked really good. Also big Danny looks like the centre half we have been missing. I think we really need a new keeper. Zaluska (as much as i want him to do well) just looks like a bomb scare!

    Aye!
I will be quite frank, I sometimes after doing ratings have a doubt or two as to how accurate I may think they are, and another thing I do it because in general I dont need to put my opinion into words, which I find a bit easier.
I dont mean to insinuate or even condemn, on the contrary, but I watch all fitba games stone cold sober, and I firmly believe that helps to be more accurate and less influenced in any way! LoL
Ok heres an effort on three players I singled out, so to speak, as it were, to coin a phrase. Who said that was it Billy Shakespeare?
Samaras worked hard and scored a first class goal, but goodness * gracious, considering the percentage and times he had on the ball thats when he controlled it which was low in percentage, I genuinely think he losses his way and the ball far too often. Do you remember the sitter Maloney missed, well Samaras didnt do the proper thing by squaring back to Maloney, he shoved the ball sqare and the goalie or a defender played it to Maloney.
You see Sammy often cannae do what is basic in fitba at times, square the f*king ball BACK not towards the keeper, and for a tall guy he gets beaten in the air far too often with upfield balls.
Fortune he has a pair of feet modelled after Charlie Chaplin they are too long and too splayed, he TRYING to dribble is one of the most fitless cofused controllers of a ball you will find similar to Brown if he does beat an opponent invariably its by f*king accident!
Brown if he plays all the games till the end of the season not once will you see a defence splitting pass like Kayal did today, in fact to tell it like it is Brown is an IMPOSTER, when it comes to fitba!
Watch Brown in the clear anywhere on the park, he will TRY to step on the ball one foot after the other, he will move left to right and right to left with the ball not being touched to deak the opponent guess what he usually losses the ball I find it almost embarassing and pathetic, sorry thats how I see this man, he will NEVER be a fitba player in the true sense of the task!
Celtic are a team with missing links, and individual players are the primary result of the missing links, if Celtic are to be of any value as a team and unit they will heed to get RID of the three afore mentioned, of course did somebody mention the Polish joke we have in goal? LoL

Great to see big Majstorovic was one of the first players to run up the field and celebrate with Juarez and Samaras. He was talking to and helping those around him all throughout the game and showed his experience. You'd think he had been playing for us for years and he was constantly encouraging his team mates for example high 5ing Ledley for winning a freekick in his own half. This was great to see and i think he is what we've been missing at the back - a true leader! :icon_mrgreen:

Utrecht probably had 3 semi decent chances in the 1st half..

This was one chance in the 2nd half for them.. Ledley struggling to snuff out the danger at left back and cleared by Cha..

Got to agree with you on all those points. Sammy pishes me off something awful, when he's good he's very good, but when he's bad....words can't describe it. Kayal is exactly what brown should be. As for fortune a think he is a winger who will chip in with 10 goals a season.

Great performance tonight. Hopefully we can play like that on Sunday.
