Celtic v Tottenham Hotspur

I must say, i was going into this one expecting a drubbing with the team we started with, but credit to all the lads that got their chance, they took it well, beating an almost full strenght Tottenham team with our first time sounded hard enough, so for these guys to do it and do it in style is a real positive for the future of the club.

 

Just passing judgement my man on an internet forum.

You could say it's like poker going all in with a weak hand and catching the straight on the last card of the flop (river).

Just thought from the videos he almost * it and the keeper done pretty poor as well. Maybe wouldn't get away with that in a proper match.

Nah no way I'm actually a good fan of his although recently he's been donig his best to prove me wrong! The second half of last season he was poor although not as poor as some people made out.

I know there is a fantastic player in there, pre-injury last season proves this. I really hope he gets back there.

 

Ha Ha was quite funny today , walked into work and was chattin with a couple of guys who support Preston . They had watched the Celtic game yesterday on TV and were going on about the game . One of them said well your well ahead of tottenham in the fitness stakes as you have a CL qualifier , spurs are only starting out on their Pre season .....I paused , then Smiled then said that was a mixture of our reserves & Youth team , it took the smile off his face as he thought he had one over me

 

lol a also went into work were i had some huns over at me making crao excuses saying we were average etc etc a just laughed coz a knew and he they knew that our reserves out classed and out passed a good epl team !!!

What a great show by the players who got the start yesterday. O'Dea really has to be very close to starting now. Samaras goal was fantatsic. The kind of goal and play he was delighting us with early last season before his injury. Killen scores again showing he can make a contribution. McCourt almost scores just an incredible wonder goal. Caddis looked very good making our right back slot rock solid with him and Hinckel. All in all a good day. Plus it is always nice to beat an English team any time of year especially on what was more or less their own patch.

 

What a great performance by the guys who played yesterday. I thought O'Dea was outstanding and really has to be very close to starting. I think he will be an important player for us this season. Caddis looked very good and with Hinckel there we are rock solid at the right back slot. Samaras' goal was something special. More like the kind of brilliance we saw from him early last season before his injury. Hopefully that will get his confidence going again. Killen scores again and shows he may be able to make some important contributions this season. Then McCourt almost scores an absolute wonder goal. All in all a good day out. It may be pre-season but beating a top epl team in their own back yard is always fun.
