Again, the opposition were very poor tonight (gave us more space than normal and defended really badly) so I dont think we learned much. All our players showed they could slot into our usual passing and defending in depth system but they did this without looking individually better than average. Sammy played was the only guy who looked like he could have played himself into contention for a start v Dinamo. Zaluska was our other standout. Caddis looks suspect defensively. Thought McCourt and Crosas were not great in the first half but both played pretty well in the 2nd. Do not think this game tells us much though.

Sometimes a think your watching different games from the rest of us!!! a thought we were excellent at keeping possesion movement was also great as was the work rate!!! praise the team for a change ffs it was our reserves:50: so imo the manager will have learnt a lot from this weekend

Great performance. Thought Flood was brilliant, he's was everywhere sweeping up and keeping the play nice and tidy. Samaras took his goal brilliantly as did Killen.

Crosas and Mizuno were poor I thought. Crosas almost cost us two goals and Koki is far too lightweight.

    Very pleased overall though.

It was great to see the way the team was like a machine that changing personel didnt upset our system. However, the sytem was essentially passing triangles keep-ball and then defending in depth as a team when off the ball. It was not some Mowbray rocket science and we have been playing that system for years.

The problem last season was not the basic system, it was our lack of a cutting edge, clever runs by strikers and quick clever spotting of passes etc. It was basically down to a lack of quality upfront and maybe just behind them in midfield. Tonight it was not as though we had to play amazing football to open them up. The reserves showed they can play to our standard sytem which is basically same as last year. That is encouraging but what will a major difference will be if the cutting edge is improved. That was really all that was wrong in the run in. I think any real improvement will come from Fortune and from a fit wee Shaun who has real football brains. They may make the cutting edge.

Very good match! I really enjoyed watching the young hoops playing. Great match for Caddis, O'dea, Mizuno was not bad too ... Samaras was very good at holding the ball, scored a great goal, also!

Tony is doing great work for now ... hope he continue !

    Cheers everyone!

Have to agree with gunt, although it was a good win and some of the passing we did was a joy to behold there was still some sloppy play. We were caught out a few times at the back and the were a few wayward passes. But at the end of the day this was are second and reserve team and spurs played alot of there first teamers. All in all im happy with the way the Mogga revolution has begun. Keep it up Bhoys

I literally shouted "Samaras, yer * *" about 5 minutes prior to his goal. Guess what.. I still mean it. For me, he's our 4th striker.

I agree for all the good he does he just cancels it out with bad play. He tried to play like McGeady to day and lost the ball to many times when he could have passed it

I agree with most of your post, last year but imo particular game that stands out is the allborg game were we couldnt keep the ball, all we had to do was keep possesion and we blew it the we triangle passing today was amazing and at times last season we struggled to do that although your right with saying no cutting edge last season, we were also 2-0 at home to dundee utd and blew it because of not keeping the ball !!!

anno its only pre season but am seeing more movement and faster passing there is a hunger and a urgency about our general play and i am excited about it, we can only get better!!! Another thing am delighted about is NO ZONAL MARKING if we wgs was our boss still i guarentee we would have probly have lost a few goals in pre season!!

Very satisfactory performance from our second string against a strong Spurs side. I thought Willo Flood played particularly well.
