He knows where the door is and if he took it his options would be Rotherham and Bristol City and he knows it.

He should have a look at Kris Commons situation and be grateful. Now there's a guy with the right to be as * off as any not even getting a look in and a chance over guys like Armstrong after the seasons he's had with us and what he's contributed as a Celtic over many seasons. You don't hear him moaning in the papers with frustration and trying to pressure the manager in regards to team selection.

p.s. Please tell me Roberts is playing?

When your current favourite player is Griffiths there is no point in getting into a debate on the subject due to bias.

Ok i will bite, you do * realise if it wasn't for Griffith's goals we wouldn't be where we are, I do get that you like to slabber over certain players but let's deal with the facts eh, I will start without Griffiths and his 40 goals we would be playing Europa League football already

I'm more than capable of analysing points of view objectively. I just don't respect your football opinions because you have a history of posting nonsense. In this instance, you've looked at a couple of words under my username and assumed bias. That's your first mistake.

Your second mistake is a complete logical flaw in trying to use Kris Commons as an analogy for the situation Griffiths finds himself in. There is no correlation between the two.

Football is a cruel and ruthless business at times and right now in the system that Brendan is deploying Griffiths doesn't get a look in for a starting position due to their being a superior player in front of him in Dembele.

Griffiths had a great season domestically last season and scored loads of goals, not disputing that. But then Commons once had a similar season under a previous manager with 32 goals and then the next season when a new manager joined he was out of favour and out the side. So this isn't a rare occurence.

But is it that hard to believe that Brendan secretly just doesn't rate him that highly? Look at the strikers and players Brendan has worked with in the past, Griffiths would most likely have been lucky to have made his benches and I say that with no disrespect it's just Brendan has worked previously with some serious talent. Look at the start of the season when Dembele was signed and Brendan shifted Griffiths to right wing just to try and accomodate him. He clearly even at that point didn't see him as his number 1 choice striker. There are a lot of attributes missing from Griffiths game and Brendan will know that hence the reason now for him getting such a lack of playing time. The injury was unfortunate for Leigh, but I genuinely believe it was only a matter of time before Dembele made that position his own and Brendan would know that also.

    Let's look at that then.

Commons scores 32 goals in all comps under Neil Lennon and is a mainstay in the side before Lenny leaves and is then replaced the following season by Ronny Deila. Commons had an injury at the start of the season and when he returns finds himself out of favour in the number 10 role he had previously with Ronny playing Stefan Johansen instead.

Griffiths scores 40 goals in all comps under Ronny Deila and is a mainstay in the side before Ronny leaves and is then replaced the following season by Brendan Rodgers. Griffiths picks up an injury at the start of the season and when he returns finds himself out of favour in the lone striker role he had previously with Brendan playing Moussa Dembele instead.

I'd say there are some similarities here personally.

Griffiths will still be a first team player this season and will continue to make appearances along with scoring goals. Your analogy was terrible.

Your talking garbage... Dembele was kicking his heels on the bench before Griffiths got injured. Brendan is on the record on numerous ocassions highlighting both players quality in equal measures and has clearly stated both will play parts as the saeson goes on. Your clear hatred for an outstanding current Celtic player is disgusting... dry up please you fool!

Pile of pish. Don't hate any of our players.

The only thing disgusting is your lack of ability to read other posters posts and trying to form a conclusion/opinion on them if that's what you think.

If me saying Griffiths is a very good player domestically for us is me hating him then can only imagine what you'd be saying if I said he's a World Class Super Star striker :43:.

Haven't seen anything domestically from dembele that makes him better than griff DOMESTICALLY. He's yet to score a goal away for us.

Europe is where they're more than likely a level apart but it's not like griff has had the chance to show otherwise in the total of 30 minutes hes played this in the groups.
For me griff is a continually improving player and because of injury has been deprived of getting a proper go at showing it in the big games where opinions seem to be truly formed for most.
His discontent at the situation he's in is completely understandable for me. The lad carried us last year through the * times to the good times we have now , we're in a great place that he got us to with his goals in qualifying and all that. Now he isnt playing , without really doing anything wrong.

And you have still yet too answer if it weren't for Griffith's goals then we would be where we are, so I might say Dembele owes Griffith's a favour or two

You've been spewing your tripe about Griffiths for a while now and most are fed up reading the crap. Have a week look back through the Griffiths thread if your pea brain needs reminding of some of the dross. Only on Thursday you were picking fault with him up for a tongue n cheek Deila remark about being on the bench. Don't embarass yourself anymore, you have a clear agenda... it's there for all to see. If you want to continue alienating yourself over Leigh Griffiths then be my guest, because he will will only come back to bite you on the *.

You do talk a lot of pish...but this bit I actually agree with.

I think most of us knew that when Dembele signed, he was going to be the number one striker before long (if he lived up to the hype, which he has).

Griffiths is a fantastic goalscorer, of that there is no doubt, but Rodgers obviously wants more than that.

It's a similar situation to Daniel Sturridge at Liverpool. He was their top scorer last season and he has a very good record there, but right now he doesn't suit the way they play and/or Klopp isn't overly keen on him.
