Hopefully CCV is OK for this, would be a big loss. I do rate Welsh though so would be confident of him handling it fine.

Good to see Bernardo getting a run now, starting to kick on now. Don't really want to make predictions for this game but I do have a feeling he'll score and play a blinder.

If CCV makes it then it's pushing it to say we have all sorts of injuries. We basically have one injury - Hatate. Today we started with 8 regular 1st choice players from last season, Scales who's been regularly one of our most consistent performers this season, Palma who's been the pick of our summer signings and has the most assists in the league and Bernardo who I think's looked pretty good in the last 2 games. We have no excuses.

Hatate and Abada are a big miss, and I doubt CCV will be able to recover. On the other hand, it is going to be our pitch, better maintained than the Dundee one, and our stands full to the brim. There should be no issues motivating the players.

Fair points. Abada is quite a big miss also. Maeda as well doesn't look anywhere near full fitness. Even if Carter Vickers is back, he won't be 100%.

The three CBs we've signed, two permanent and one loan as well, * knows where those 3 are.

AJ to me looks like he's carrying something as well.

But you're right, we are just significantly weaker than we were last season.

Scales isn't a patch on Starfelt, similar story with Jota and Palma. Bernardo/Holm don't lay a glove on Mooy.

Hart, AJ, Taylor, Kyogo, Mcgregor have all * regressed massively so far.

Going to be a tough 90 minutes.

I rate Abada but even if fit he wouldn't be a definite starter ahead of Palma and Maeda - he was behind Maeda and Jota last season. If he didn't start he'd be a good player to come off the bench though.

Their midfield is decimated at the minute and they will have that clown Dessers up front so for me we have to be beating them. It might be cagey and we might need to be patient but I can see us winning it 2-1. Team should be the team that started today.

    Hart

    AJ
    CCV (Welsh if not fit)
    Scales
    Taylor

    McGregor
    Bernardo
    O'Riley

    Maeda
    Kyogo
    Palma

It feels like the team at the minute is not anywhere near where Rodgers wants them to be and with players maybe a tad unsuited to his style. So although I expect a win, a draw would not be the end of the world right now.

Despite what he did today, Johnstone cannot start this.

If Phillips is anywhere near the squad, I'll be suicidal before a baw is kicked.

Their midfield is honking even when everyone is fit. They have * strikers and are left with the worst one.

Their only chance is that we've been so erratic this season you never know what Celtic is going to turn up. Any momentum we've had the chance to build constantly gets knocked.

If it was Ange still at the helm, you'd be looking at 4 or 5-0 easily.

Don't talk to me about figures of speech. My head literally explodes whenever I hear one.

Have faith. Saturday is gonna be joyous, I feel it.

Have you watched us lately? Now without CCV we will be even less likely to get a result. Their biggest threat will come from crosses into our box, particularly from corners and free kicks, it’s a massive concern. If Iwata was fit I’d be a bit more confident but alas….

Under normal circumstanses we beat a hun team of that quality 9 out of 10 times. It's time for Brendan to step up, show that he still have some tactical tricks up his sleeve and put uncle Fester and his gang of zombies six feet under.

I'm much more optimistic after today , even if CCV doesn't make it.

    Kyogo to come good.

I'm feeling a lot more confident after watching their last few games & our last few. They really aren't that impressive & have a lot of injuries at the minute. I think I'd play the same team as most:

    Hart
    Johnston CCV/Welsh Scales Taylor
    McGregor
    O'Riley Bernardo
    Palma Kyogo Maeda
