What happened to GMS? He was down to start and was out training before kick off. Then no where to be seen.

    Happy with the 2-0 result.

    Slightly worried with our finishing.

Next round against better opposition, we can't afford to miss 1v1's and penalties or we will be punished, again. (Maribor)

Should have put at least 3 past them at their own pitch last season, poor finishing let us down and it came back to haunt us.

    * take as well? 2-0 victory and the most positive thing in three posts is that you've seen worse debut's than Ciftci's.

So your argument is that you meant to say tonight's performance was good but not very good, but by accident you just typed 'not very good' which to almost everyone else in the English speaking world translates as *, for example:

"Did you see the new Jurassic Park film?"
    "Aye, it's not very good."
"*. I probably won't bother watching it then"

So you think it was a good performance then? I think it was a good performance to answer your question, parts of which were very good in the second half.

For the record I enjoyed Jurassic World.

2-0, on balance its a little bit of a let down, but hey, isn't it a luxury to see a two-nil victory in europe as a let down. The team looked fit but a wee bit rusty. Lot of passes going short or missing, broke the momentum and stopped us from creating the space we needed. Still, we beat a team well into their season who sat right back and worked hard to close us down. And we did so at a relative canter.

Nothing Stjarnan did makes me fear the away leg. Can't see them scoring. Hopefully we'll get a little more room to play and get another easy tie out of the way.

Armstrong was a positive. Nice to see Ciftci start but he'll need some time to adapt.

    Bring on the draw.

I didnt mean to say it I * said It, here it is again for the hard of understanding....not very good

sure. I thought he had a quiet game a shot or 2 here or there. He looks like hes up for it but for me the jury is still out. If I want to say * I say *, when I want to say very good I say very good, thats english not interpretation. I take it you will be watching this game again? I * wont. I thought the performance was average. Issaguire and forrest were shocking and during a *lot* of the game we passed the ball to their players, which given their level does not bode well when we meet better opposition,

I think we will beat them over the piece.

We looked rusty and a bit leggy, be better in the second leg.

We are definitely gonnae get better and better. Can't believe some of the comments here, you'd think we just got pumped.
This was a good result all things considered; new players settling, first competative game which happens to be a Euro qualifier, but if rustiness etc

Folk getting a bit OTT with the pathos. I think they had money on a silly bet and got pished after or something, chill out.

I think its an ok result. The return leg will be a good prep for the season and much better than useless friendlies.

There is no chance they will beat us by more than 2, or that we wont score.I expect a good workout and a relatively comfortable passage through!

Forrest and Emilo are mince. Weak link in that side. On the game, the minute Celtic had the ball the opposition put every player behind the ball so was very hard to break them down however we did.

The penalty situation is a * joke btw..Johansen put so much pressure on Griffthis. He needs a kick up the * for that esp after the cup final.

Big Ciftci was so unlucky with his chances tonight, looks a very dangerous player and will definitely get goals. And I'm glad Ronny tried a 442.

Could and should have won by at least 4 or 5. Missed 3 good chances 1st half, Ciftci,Johansen and Armstrong finshed poorly.Griffiths with a poor penalty as well.

That aside, I thought it was a good performance. Armstrong was impressive coming in late off the left wing. Boyata was solid and added a goal to his competitive debut. Brown and Bitton controlled the midfield. Ciftci shown in flashes his quality, the lack of understanding with team-mates shone through but will improve with game time. Guys been barely in the door a week and despite playing a weak opposition, the difference could be seen.

Stjarnan did what many SPL teams do when they play at Celtic Park, pack players in tight lines across the width of the 18 yard box. They did look decent enough on the counter and used the ball better than some of our domestic rivals. Couple of slack moments in our defence gave them some hope at the beginning of the 2nd half, other than that we were comfortable.

Maybe a bit premature in this assessment but I don't see much improvement in quality from Stjarnan. While we have a few more levels of improvement.

A decent enough lead, almost got the job done tonight. I believe we have more than enough to finish it off next week.

Was Mulgrew that bad? I was at the game and it didn't seem to stick out. Seems way more commanding and comfortable than Boyata. Also Boyata is a lot smaller than I thought he was going to be. Charlie is bigger than him.

Izaguirre was woeful tonight. If Griffiths scored it would have been tie over but I'm still very confident of going through.

Your chatting pish mate, that isn't what 'not very good really' means and you know it. By your way of talking you grade things by what standard they're not instead of by what they are.

If you thought the performance was average then why didn't you say 'average performance' instead of 'not very good' which is nothing but a criticism.

Your "If I want to say * I say *' is the exact opposite of what you actually done.

Izziguire wasn't very good nah and Forrest was poor.

Thought Mulgrew was very dodgy, made a mess of a couple of simple clearances/headers etc. Boyata bailed him out once or twice.

Boyata won everything in the air and looked good on the ball. My biggest frustration with Mulgrew is that every match he attempts 3 or 4 long diagonal passes and they rarely find their man.

Good to see the Bhoys back competitively. Comfortable 2-0 win going into the second leg. Happy days.
