Ronny out, should be scoring at least 7 against this mob. Nadir should have scored at least 3 as well. Not good enough

I think it is fair to give some credit to Stjarnen as well. This is probably the biggest stadium many of them has ever played in. They worked hard and defended well. Obviously their goalie kept it more respectable that it could have been, but fair play to them and their supporters.

2-0 is a * result against what almost is a pub team. But a win is a win I guess.

Good result and we will go through. It could of easily been 4 or 5 thought tonight.

I'm not confident with Mulgrew at CB, Boyata had to cover and save him on more than one occasion. He also likes to hit a 60 yard diagonal just for the sake of it, when there is really no need. I think we need to sign another CB if Virgil is to leave.

Some good performances tonight though. It shows you what a difference Brown makes, from not having him last season. He was everywhere tonight and won every second ball. Armstrong was deservedly man of the match, very creative in the second half, but he needs to start cutting inside more and looking for the ball, he was too far wide during the first half, which is why he wasn't involved as much.

Good result but it should have been more than 2-0.

In fairness though their keeper had a great game.

he missed it by hitting it straight to the left with no disguise and at a height that keepers love

yeah it is! especially if he never even put any disguise on it

you aim left for the goalie and stick it in the right side or aim right and stick it in the left

you also hit it low and hard

as i said griffiths is a prat johansen should have taken it :50:

If that made him miss, he should'nt be the one taking the penalties at all. To blame Johansen (who even got the penalty) is a bit strange.

...and btw, without Johansen, it would've been 0-0. :86:

should be scoring atleast 4 or 5 against this mob dissapointed with the result, on the plus side Boyata looked calm with the ball at feet & got in good positions in the box when we had set pieces.

Going by the other European ties the last two night we are one of the most comfortable to progress. Clean sheet is massive for us not worried in the slightest.

Ronny interview backing Griff as pen taker calling Johansen unprofessional or at least the situation.

The score is not that good, but all our potential opponents in the last qualifying round (assuming the best ranked team will always qualify) apart from Lech Poznan struggled against teams as good or worse than Stjarnan.

Regardless of the score the team looked sharp, pressed them everywhere, never gave up the match because the game was already settled. A sea of difference compared to the odious sluggish and coward * we were playing at the same time last season.

We will need to face better opposition to confirm if this is good enough to take us to the group stages but I am happy with the game (I only saw the second half though). For a comparison just before I saw Malmö FF, a team whose incompetent manager bragged about being "better than us", playing a team miles behind Stjarnan, and drawing 0-0 at home never ever having a chance to score.

    Zoomers out in force early.

Must be trying to snare the normal new members early bells...
