I always feel at ease when we are ahead by way more points than what are remaining against the Huns. Would be nice to have the league wrapped up before we have to play them again.

Happy with that as I said before the game that any win will do however, it was a tough watch at times. We are still fannying about at the back at not direct enough. We need to up the tempo from the off as it gives opposition teams a chance to get into the game. Thought Kuhn, Engels, CCV and Trusty were all good today but big concerns over Idah as he just ain't doing it for me.

Nah, let’s clinch it the day we play them in March. See if people are messaging Big Filll to tell him

Good result today and normal service resumed.
I am beginning to think that defeat on Thursday was a fluke now.

I love how they are banging on about how the refs have screwed them despite many of them admitting that if the foul was at the other end they would have been screaming for a penalty. So far this season I've seen two penalties go against them. In seasons not so long ago there would never have been a penalty against them. They really can't cope with a level playing field now.

For me February is the target. If we can make it to February without dropping any points the Huns will start to panic. Especially if they don't get anyone else in during this transfer window. AFAIK they will have to sell before they can afford to bring anyone else in. Is Imgammy their player? He seems to be the only player they have who has a little bit of quality about him.

First of all, let’s get the positives out the way, the team were great, that was the bounce back that was needed, big improvement all across the park, very happy with the result and performance.

Onto Rodgers comments about fans booing at pass backs at 0-0 20 minutes in: he’s right. If you’re going to pay your money for entry just so you can have a good moan at the team, then you are doing the reverse OPPOSITE of SUPPORTING the team. The Greg Taylor comments, Rodgers is also correct about, and it proves his point how the support would rather sing an Arsenal players name and than one of their own who is in the starting line up most weeks for the past few years now consistently, and over what, paper rumours at this stage? No loyalty (and there is very little loyalty in modern football, but moreover, it also highlights the lack of support). Rodgers is correct to say it’s very disrespectful. Don’t think Taylor done himself any favours though by going down the tunnel, be the bigger man in the situation and ignore the chants and do your job like you are un-phased. Thats what a professional does, but we are all human and it’s an emotional sport. It doesn’t change the fact that Tierney’s name should not be sung at Celtic Park in that manner until he is in that lineup playing for Celtic again. Terrible the way Taylor was treated regarding that situation.

Dont think any of this happens without the disgraceful showing on thursday. Was always likely to be some backlash on the back of that. Unfortunately pumping a couple of SPL dross sides at home either side of it is poor substitute for making a ramshackle rangers team with a coach on the brink look like a Champions League winning side. You cant perform like they did on thursday and not expect a reaction from the fans. A bad day at the office might be losing the game and not playing well, but at least being in the game. That performance was something else altogether though.

I agree with this, but the point I was going for is that we need to be developing the mentality to demolish that Hun team. We are undoubtedly the better team and squad but have struggled to do that fairly frequently against them. What's holding us back? To an extent I think it's Rodgers tactics, so hopefully like Atlanta he adjusts, but it's more than that.

Good to get the next win done though and watch them trip themselves up yet again :56:.

Good result, a couple of good goals. The third despite being terrible keeping and defending, comes from pressure and putting the nerves into those players.

Regardless of how poor some think this huns team is, they have shown over the past few years that they are capable in Europe of getting results, against decent enough teams. So for us to go to Ibrox and dismantle them is still a tough ask. Should we have been as poor as we were? Absolutely not. But I think some are getting carried away about what sort of scoreline we should be expecting against them. I was confident about last week, but I have been saying for the last few games that law of averages said they were going to beat us at some stage. It’s no great shock it happened when we had no fans at Ibrox. It happened in a game where there was little pressure on both teams as well. We have been destroyed at Ibrox in the past, and it will happen again at some point. Our record against them is very good though, and I think Thursday seems to have scrambled a few brains regarding this.

I think more were bothered by the performance and tsctics than the scoreline. I certainly was, the fact we won 6 of the previous 7 was astounding really.

Exactly. We lose we lose. The little amount of fight and heart showing in the games what bothered people. I'm putting it down to half the team had a sick bug beforehand , makes you weak along with no fans, 14 point cushion all while we pumped them in the cup penalty shoot out so they had more of a grudge to prove than us.

As long as next game we show we've learned, then that's fine with me. I'll let it slide. Show the same pish again? Nuclear time.

I had St Mirren TV on. Brendan did indeed go onto the pitch and shake both sets of players hands and officials. He walked about 20 yards of the lap of honour then turned round and walked off the pitch.
