I guess all of us hoping for a few changes are going to be disappointed per this quote from GS

GORDON STRACHAN will stick with the tried and tested as Celtic look to continue their SPL title challenge against St Mirren on Saturday.

The Hoops have been searching for wins in recent weeks but the manager will stand by the men who have done so much for the club over the last three seasons.

And he has backed his trio of senior strikers, Scott McDonald, Jan Vennegoor of Hesselink and Georgios Samaras, to get the rewards for their hard work on the training pitch this week.

He said: “Will I change things about? Well I did last Sunday when I played with three strikers. But no, there will be nothing that surprises anyone on Saturday.

I don’t just sit back and wait for things to happen. You have to make things happen in life and in football. That’s what we’re trying to do at the moment.

Looks like Hutchinson will not be given his chance, same goes for McCourt, Mizuno etc - hopefully at least Crosas will play.

Mo Camara is most definitely playing, the other left-backs are injured.

    He's back:party048:

lads honestly have to disagree with most of yis.i think sammy is poision,
the last few weeks he's been running around like a headless chicken on smack!
strachan has him out on the wing a fair bit but even when he's up front he does'nt do an awful lot 4 me!jvoh is'nt much better but skippy plays better whens he's in the team

I'm actually quite excited about tomorrow. I really feel as if we're due to give someone a bleaching.

I'm convinced that it's going to click for us in front of goal.

I would keep Caldwell as a sitting midfielder, think his game suits it brilliantly. And i'd have Brown, McGeady and Naka in front of him. And i agree Doc we are well due to give some poor team a * lesson, fingers crossed :shamrock:

:38: We need him at the back more. Loovens * up last game. And who guarantees Gary would play consistently well in DM?

He's been solid every time he's played there imo, and Loovens didn't * up the last time, not that i seen anyway, thought he had a good game considering the jammy * had ONE shot at goal the whole match.

The goal we conceded was his fault. I feel that if Caldwell had been in defense, we'd have won.

Was it * his fault, it was more Caldwells fault as he was closest to the man and then he somehow thought he would keep going till he was shoulder to shoulder with the other two defenders on the six yard line.

How can you say if GC was in defense we'd have won, based on what?

He works well with McManus, and the two of them are a stable pair. I feel much better when they are our CB-s, rather than having Caldwell at DM. We probably wouldn't have given away that stupid goal if Gary had been CB.

That's nonsense bud, i have no idea why your saying that it's based on absolutely nothing. If you've got GC in front of the other 2 then it's like having a back three and gives Caldwell the freedom to move up the park and ping passes about, which he is so good at. I've never seen GC have a bad game at DM.

People here don't really like seeing Caldwell at DM. He had good games, yes, but he had shockers, also. I'd rather see Hartley at DM. We need Caldwell back with McManus.

im with the doctor on this 1, i cant wait for tomorrow, I've got a good feeling about this weekend, it's weird, were in the worst forum in a long time but iv'e never felt as confident of an easy win all season, and it's against one of the better sides in the spl,
i know it off topic but I've got a sneaky feeling accies will do us a favour tomorrow, lets hope so lol.
