How we go from beating the best team in the world to losing a league match... :31: Not a huge deal though, but still, losing games like that is always bad :38:

Also I hate how I KNOW we could mark tickets down just a little bit and we'd be selling out EVERY game. Tickets are mighty expensive, especially nowadays it's hard to come up with that kind of money, but if they marked it down a few then imagine having a Barcelona game atmosphere at every match?

Very poor yesterday and perhaps the team should have changed. But I see Lennys thinking they players would have been desperate to keep playing after wed, unfortunately I didn't go to plan heads up and move on.

Yes the league form is poor but Lenny will get it right HH

We were abysmal yesterday i thought, very flat all over the park. For as much praise as i give Lenny, i thought he got it wrong yesterday. If he thinks that the players are tired and in need of a break, reading between the lines i think that is what he is getting at today, why not play a few younger boys yesterday and give some boys a rest. Why Watt didn't start is beyond me. Samaras is only just back from injury and he has played twice in 5 days. It doesn't make sense. It's clear to see that the players are stuggling to motivate themselves in the SPL compared to Champions League games, which personally i think is shocking. The SPL is our bread and butter and fans are paying good money to watch. The amount of points we have dropped already should be close to what we should drop all season.

Beat barca draw to st johnstone... We were in a european hangover obviously. Bit still its crazy. We should be beating these sides easily. Winning 1 out of 3 spl matches? There's just no excuse for it!

Common misconception tennis players stand around about 90% of a match. Its amazing the amount of people who have never played Tennis and Football in there lifetime, surly even the slightest experience of both sports will tell you football is way more tiring.

Lennon's biggest negative atm is his lack of rotation. That's the 1 thing you can really bash him with, cos every other aspect of his game he's fixed and improved drastically.

If I was him I would change literally 9 or 10 players each game between wednesday CL and weekend SPL. But he's so loyal to his bhoys he tries his hardest not to rest the likes of Commons, Sammy, Mulgrew, Brown, Hooper ect.

I would seriously be playing basically a youth team in the SPL and I said that right at the start of the season.

We have a perfect opportunuity to become a big European team again, and by the time the newclub (they'll probably be on their 6th or 7th hun incarnation by then) get into the SPL we will be * awesome.

Aye but some play one match then come back out to play another on the same day.
I think tennis players put in a lot more than a footballer does.

Total lack of creativity in the middle of the park. Brown, Wanyama and Ledley are defensive midfielders. They are more suited to defensive roles and all lack the creativity needed to break down teams who sit in against us , especially at Celtic park. Why Lennon persists on sticking with this midfield in Spl games is mystifying. Its been an awful start to the Spl this season. Creative player in the middle is a must for us when playing at home but we lack that type of central creative player.

I would say Commons but he drifts too much, sometimes it makes him unplayable as no defender can pick him up but sometimes, like the other day, he just sort of floats around not really creating anything.

Still don't think we need to buy anyone in that mould though because we have McCourt, Commons, Forrest, Miku, Ibrahim, Twardzik and no doubt more who can do that role, we just need to change the formation at home to stop these damned anti-football teams!

Why play Brown , Wanyam and Ledley all in the same midfield against a team who are going to sit with 10 men behind the ball? 1 of them would be enough against these diddy teams. Spl games at home this season have been so boring yet he still plays all these defensive midfielders. Cant understand why he doesnt start players with more creativity or even players with something to prove like some of the younger players. Either way its been the same way all season but Lennon still cant find the answer to it.

And 100% of their running uses their anaerobic system.

I've seen players go through full matches and getting away with sprinting a couple of times a game. Marc Crosas springs to mind at Celtic Park. Played the game at walking pace sometimes.

    Tennis is ridiculously tiring.

We couldnt have got away with this form in past seasons or we could have been a shedload of points behind. Thing is we are not far ahead but I think this has to be the most weak SPL of all time and I dont just mean Rangers being missing. Even DUndee United, the only club with any real quality other than us, are doing badly. Hibs for me are not a good team, even by 3rd or 4th place teams of the last decade or so. They have had far far better sides most seasons until last. yet they are top. I personally think the money problems finally really took their toll last season with the non-OF clubs. Anyway I still think Dundee United have a far better group of players than anyone in the SPL except us and I expect them to catch up in the next month or two. This season needed a Dundee United team showing their potential to make this a competition. As for Hibs I expect them to end up 5th or something because they are doing far better than they should with one of the worst Hibs teams (bar last season) in many years. Hearts going down the tubes is not going to help the SPL either unless it leads to an Edinburgh United or the like. I still think post-Xmas we will romp the SPL to an almost boring degree.

Another thing is good Euro runs always cost league form, or most of the time anyway. Rangers came 3rd the season they got to the last 16. We struggled a bit for 3 in a row because we were on a last 16 run. Both us and Rangers lost the league when we had runs to the Europa finals. Only teams with an incredible squad can get away without much impact IMO and that is rare in the SPL.

Not seen the game but the result doesn't surprise me - the players would have been physically and mentally drained after beating Barca.

I'd usually be annoyed but * we're just after achieving one of the best results in our proud 125 year history so I think I can just manage to cut a bit slack........

I have got mates who play football and they say it is more intense playing tennis, even if you played at badmington you are all over the park, and if you looked at big sam *'s jersey then you would know, clean as a whistle with no sweat marks, football players are not playing on every bit of the pitch, 7 a side is more intense, as you have the ball more often or maybe you haven't played it, instead of hitting keyboard keys:38:

Tennis players probably dont even cover 1/3 the distance of footballers.

Remember Tennis players get to sit down for 2 minutes every about 15-20 minutes too, half the rest of the time they spend taking serves/waiting on serves/serves being re-taken.

Wanyama has covered 19 and a half Miles for us in the Champions League this season in 340 minutes. Averaging over 5 miles per match.

Izaguirre has played 246 minutes in the Champions League and done 15.6 Miles, hes averaging 5.7 Miles a game.

James Forrest has only played 157 minutes in the Champions League and has done 12 miles, hes averaging 6.9 Miles per game.

Hoopers averaging 6.2 Miles per game in the Champions League.
