Tood to see Yang getting a crack at a starting spot. Has done well off the bench last couple of games. Good to have AJ back obviously but are we light on the bench? Did I miss something with Ralston? I know we have injuries but is there a reason why we don;t have ernough players to make up a full matchday squad?

Celtic return to Premiership action this afternoon (Saturday) when they play host to St Johnstone, and the Hoops will be aiming to make it three league wins out of three.

There is a return to action for Alistair Johnston, with the Canadian internationalist making his first appearance of the season, while Hyunjun Yang make his first start for Celtic.

Brendan Rodgers has made four changes from the side which lost to Kilmarnock in the League Cup last weekend, with Anthony Ralston, Odin Holm and Liel Abada dropping to the bench and Maik Nawrocki ruled out through injury.

Liam Scales partners Gustaf Lagerbielke in the heart of the Celtic defence, with the Swedish defender making his first appearance at Celtic Park.

Good to see the totally unreliable Abada dumped onto bench. One decent game in every 10 is * pathetic and please spare me the ‘he’s young’ or ‘shows promise’ * - * go out and put a run of decent performances together or * off. You'd want Maeda starting at Ibrox as his work rate and pace is essential, so you can see why he plays today..

Hopefully Yang cements a start too..

 

He tracks back well and that Scales/Taylor side is going to need all the help it can get. It does mean another week of probably creating absolutely nothing down that side though.
