donati was great again today his passing was great, he was driving to the byeline and putting crosses into the box, he was skinning players and he hardly gave the ball away.

apart from caldwell our worst player imo was mcdonald. his touch was terrible, he tries to do too much the ball and who else is getting sick of him moaning? its doing my * in. even though he scored i didnt think he played well.

samuel didnt look too bad but to say he looked more dangerous than our strike force when they scored 3 between them and he scored 1, i dont understand

I thought we had a lot of good perfomances. Maloney was MOTM IMO. I have always felt that a fit Maloney is our most creative player. You get a lot of talk about McGeady being worth this or that or being headhunted but for me Maloney has always been the better player. I am also impressed by Fox who is an improvement on Naylor in terms of passing. I also thought Hinkel, Brown, Donati and McGeady played well. Aidan looks much more of a team player on the right but I noticed that the odd time he played there before this season.

I actually thought Caldwell was excellent other than one mistake. Caldwell when he hits a bad patch often plays well but makes the odd blunder and that is him recently. Still by far our best CB.

On the downside, I thought Loovens had an uncharacterstically shaky game but I suspect he was carrying an injury. I thought Skippy was very quiet. Jury still out over Fortune. He blew hot and cold today but I think he will show his quality given time.

Overall, in terms of style, BTM plays a riskier more attacking game than WGS by really pushing the FBs very high up the pitch, often meaning we only have a back 2. The 2 CBs also seem to end up playing very wide which I dont think they like or have the pace to feel comfortable doing. We can get away with this v St Johnstone but in harder games that formation will cost goals and maybe points. Same with Donati. He looks excellent playing wee teams but he will have to convince me that he can do the same when the chips are down against good or physical opposition.

Overall there is little to moan about at this stage in the season. I still think the team lacks a real quality strong mobile goals machine up front. If we have spare money I would spend every penny on trying to get such a player.

Good attacking performance, should have had a couple more though if im being picky, bit miffed about the two soft goals we let in.

Great performance, 5 goals, Fortune off the mark, but how do the press angle it? They angle it on the goals we conceded.

    You couldn't make it up!

I think many of the fans are doing that themselves.

There's no pleasing some folks, is there. At this stage, with a new manager in tow, you'd think they'd just be happy we're top of the league, and playing the kind of football they were all crying out for when Strachan was boss. Fair enough there was a defensive lapse against St Johnstone, and Caldwell scored an unfortunate OG v Arsenal, but apart from that, what's the fuss?

We scored 5 yesterday, 3 the week before. We went to Moscow and won 2-0. Seems to me that a lot of folk are carping a bit too much about getting beat by Arsenal (a tie which still has 90 minutes left to run). Sure, we're probably going out of the CL, but it's a round later than most folk would have thought after the unfortunate home defeat to Moscow.

Personally, although it's early doors, I'm pretty pleased overall with the new style of play, Mogga, and all things Celtic.

That opinion might change if we sell McGeady or Brown, but that's a debate for another day, as last time I checked, it hadn't happened.

    Hail Hail

Whst are you on? Donati worst man on the park after Caldwell? Get a grip!!!

Why won't people get behind the guy? I think he's done pretty well so far this season and his ability to pass the ball long gives us a dimension that we haven't had for a long time.
