Very frustrating game today but at the same time there was always going to be some issues when so many changes are made to the team.

On a side note, the fans booing at the end were a disgrace... Absolute embarrassment considering we are 9 points clear, still in Europe and going for back to back trebles. Majority of them probably only started going to games under Brendan and would do well to remember where we were 2 years ago.

If we get to at least the last 16 of the europa league and win a treble, what does it matter if we drop 6 or 7 extra points in the league? Of course everyone wants to win every game, but progressing in europe while still winning the domestic treble is surely a very successful season by any realistic measure?

Yeah so we could drop 10-15 points against them as I said already dropped 11

so true that leigh griffiths like the king would get us goals when we have been playing *

just don't seem to get that from most of our team, it does seem like at times, they don't want to give that bit extra

do we even still do win bonuses ffs [IMG]

realistically the performance was probably down to the effort put in the other night and making sure you don't get injured for the return against zenit

Griffiths wouldn’t have made a difference, we didn’t create any chances.

we play like subdued robots at times, like they have to play to an exact style/standard that the manager has dictated

now i don't think this is what brendan rodgers wants, i think there's a combination of things going wrong

    1) the domestic front doesn't inspire the players, therefore letting standards drop
    2) every team we play domestically plays 10 men behind the ball packed defences
    3) dominating possession and playing possession football just exasperates the above packed defence opposition, im not advocating us not playing possession football but just getting it out there that there is a time and place for it, where it is very good to play that style
    4) slow tempo football again does nothing for us in domestic competition because everyone we play are prepared to stifle us and nick a goal, nick the first goal
    5) we should be playing quick tempo football because we have the best players and the players will create chances against all opposition in the league by playing quicker football

i was gonna write more but forgot :D

    Ideally yes.

It all comes down to the conditioning of players, which players are available and fit and the general quality in the squad outside the perceived starting 11 which would determine how we fare in that game as well as all the above did today.

Think your kidding yourself on mate, Celtic at home against the worst form team in the league that haven't won a league game since December 10 , everybody s pumped them recently, good to be positive but an important 0-0 draw at home against st Johnstone , * on who you kidding ?, zenits a big game but we're not going to win Europa league so not really our biggest game of the season, would love to win all 3 but would be more disappointed if we lose to sheep or sevco than a would be if we lost on Thursday

The Huns were14 points behind us a. Few weeks back now it's 9, we willwin the league cause we have by the best squad but we need to get the finger Oot and do the business on the park, it's not our divine right to take it as a gimme, that's Hun mentality

Can't see us losing any more than 7 points max for the rest of the season - which would be 3 draws or 1 defeat and 2 draws. Maybe, a long-shot another draw, so an unlikely 9 dropped. Bear in mind we've had fixture congestion and injuries galore this season, so we'll get stronger going forward as others wear out.
Dunno where people are getting equivalent of 5 defeats from...

We won’t lose the league, no need to panic.
Rangers and Aberdeen will both drop points too before the end of the season.

Hibs did us a solid beating the sheep.
Had the sheep won they’d go into the game with us knowing that a win would close the gap to 3 points.
Could have been squeaky * time.

Bit of an overreaction as usual imo. As said, still clear by 9 points, in Europe and going for back to back trebles.

We were still going undefeated up until December mind, and majority of points dropped have came since the hearts loss. Probably a case of teams now have their tail up against us slightly more, while we’re still trying to get going again- and we will come good for the run in.

How so? You seriously think the 3 teams wont drop points into double figures? They are all inconsistent as * but we will see come the last day I am pretty confident in my prediction.

As ilovetheceltic has already said out the remaining 11 games we play teams we have dropped 11 points too! That’s my thinking again you seriously think this team the way they are playing will go to

    Pittodrie
    Tynecastle
    Easter road
    Rugby park
    Ibrox
    Fir Park

And not drop points? I can see us dropping points at every one of those grounds based on current style and form

Wins at Pittodrie and ibrox would essentially see the league wrapped up. Despite how we're playing at the moment, that's not outwith the realms of possibility.

The leagues getting alot stronger imo so a closer gap is expected. If teams can beat us there gonna have a chance against lesser teams in the Europa. Maybe someone else will qaulify. Need the coefficient up to cut these rounds down. All good for the league imo.
