celtic was really boring...playing handball...two posts in Spartak fav, and one scored goal that the referee discharged...if it wasn't for the Ref, Celtic would've gone home with three goals in their net - minimum...
Haven't really been following Celtic, but with this game they are better off in UEFA cup. Please don't get me wrong, i am not trying to offend anyone...i think Spartak is better off in the UEFA too....

If you paid attention to my post then you would see 3 positives and one negative:31:.Like I said in the post I believe we'll get through.Maybe 'destroy' was too strong a word but they can definitley hurt us down the flanks.

i support Spartak. But to be objective they don't deserve to be in champions league. UEFA cup is their top level right now. Celtic seemed very inert, i expected much more really...start of the season is no excuse. Good coaches know how to prepare teams for a season.
I think Celtic will kick Spartak's * at home, and i hope they will...i don't need to see Spartak getting molested by top European teams. They need to build their team first.

by the way...Spartak is an away team, just in case...i think Celtic still should watch out, but the odds are against Spartak thats for sure, because Celtic is a home team with slight advantage of an away goal.

my Russians friends, FYI a handball is when a player deliberately uses his hands to control the ball in any way. When the Spartak players kicks the ball into the players hands it is not hand-to-ball. It was ball-to-hand. Also some Spartak players seemed to purposely kcik the ball into Celtic players hands to get a pen/free kick. Torbinsky was looking at JFK hands when he kicked it into his hands. In Russia, you referees might give it, but anywhere in Europe, you'd never get such a soft handball claim.

Celtic will finish Spartak off at CP. And no disrespect to Spartak but your team wasn't very impressive

true...Spartak doesn't deserve to be in the champs, same goes for Celtic...they were plain boring...no offence.I hope Celtic will knock Spartak out...at least we'll have a chance to win some games in the UEFA cup...and avoid molestation from top teams...

Hi, my dear scottish friends. Match showed level of your team. And it's no so high as i thought. I think that Celtick was lucky. We had a lot of scoring chances, but we missed them. I suppose, we'll beat you at your home stadion 2-1 or 3-1.
I'd like to stress, that referee was not good yesterday. He stole Pavluchenko's first goal. It's not fair.

He was clearly offside. Look at a few replays and if you take your rose-tinted glasses off, i'm sure you'll see that the linesman got it spot on.

All of you were saying that for the match today, but no, it was a good draw that suited both teams as it seemed even, Spartak were too cheap to earn a win, diving everywhere like all the Eastern Europeans and we didnt have many chances. But we'll be better in Parkhead and we'll def win.

    Celtic Celtic on to victory!

When we beat you at home, not be easy but I think we will because we'll be more match fit then and be playing on a proper pitch not the drowned plastic thing you lot tried to unsettle us with, we'll be in the CL, getting the money that helps stay above "UEFA Cup class" (only way I can put it). When we consistently compete in the UCL, we wont be even thinking of the UC because we'll have the financial strength, reputation to get really good players and progress in the knockout stages.

Spartak are a UC class side punching above their weight for the last couple of seasons, fair play but you aint going to drag us down with you. :87::37::celt_2:

Watched this match at 3.00am, hour delay (didnt hear anything from back home, so it was basically live for me).

Hartley was the only surprise selection for me but played well, like Miller, more please sir. Great header and got stuck in all over the pitch, more of the player we thought we signed.

Brown should have finished that chance but his explanation why is acceptable for me, I would have finished and asked questions later. The referee was very fair and consistent throughout the match, imo.

Donati isnt a holding midfielder, Brown and him need to communicate much better.

Wilson was very solid at the back

McGeady was good when he came on

Nakamura was out of it for the last 15mins, like playing with 10 men.

Delighted about McDonald getting started, looks like he could be the best signing of the summer.

Good result but its not going to be easy, even at home. Mistakes will be very costly. They score we need to get one just to draw which would make us expose ourselves, caught in that, tie over spartak kill the game and win.

But I'm confident that we wont make any mistakes at home, very confident.

    And What??

I think you can find the result :86:
