I've been thinking about how important a win this is for us.

Granted, they're not the best team, but that never stopped us from chucking European game before. Think of the teams we struggled to put away in qualifiers or Europe in the past ten-to-fifteen years.

Need to keep it up, go out to dismantle the smaller teams we're playing and just do what we can in the tougher ties.

That was perfect last night. I do think that’s the worst team we’ve faced in the CL, but we’ve faced similar teams in the past and struggled. It sort of takes the pressure off the game in Dortmund as well. What last night also shows, is that a bit of ambition can go a long way. Arne Engels absolutely strolled it. He looks like he has been with us for years. Absolutely loving his confidence. Penalties, free kicks, corners, no hesitation from him, he wants them. Best night in the competition for a long time.

Good stuff with a lot of good performances. Could actually have put more goals past them. We'll be able to cause better teams than Bratislava problems with our attacking play but we still have a bit to do defensively. We gave away a poor goal(even though a nice finish) and had a couple other slips that luckily didn't come to anything. We need to start keeping clean sheets in Europe if we want to succeed. Excellent on the whole though. Hopefully we can build on this.

What a night and what a result, place was rocking and the team and BR delivered the goods.
Still think there's more to come from us and a better team would have punished some of our missed chances and slack play but really really good stuff overall and can't wait to see how we go from here.

We won well had a good game , a really good game . They are on a par I think with maybe an Everton or Southampton. The next 2 games will be hard .. but if we are tactically well minded and no naivety in our play get a point from they 2 games puts us on a good level to beat both bruge or young boys gives us a good chance for play offs . I'm noy getting carried away by this result, as great.as it was . But tougher games ahead now . Keep it up bhoys and we can give ourselves a good chance of play off. We played with intensity great attitude and strength all game

What a * night. Celtic park was bouncing.

I think we can get at least a point off of Dortmund if we play with that intensity.

    I'm loving Engels instead!!

What a night man. Had to explain to my boys who are 6 and 2 that this doesn't happen often. Atmosphere was ridiculous. Hungover today but boy was it worth it.

I’ve been buzzing all day, had less than an hour’s sleep last night and the adrenaline from this win got me through the whole day. Been dreaming of a night like this ever since BR’s first spell with us. Finally the board gave him some proper quality.

Unfortunately it's 18.6m euros, not pounds, for participation.

There’s a few in this team needing songs now … would be a major crime if CCV, Johnston etc don’t get one during their time here

Excellent start to the campaign. Although I expected a win, I didn’t expect 5-1 so to beat them so convincingly on this stage was brilliant. Felt strange to watch a champions league game where all my nails are in tact, not a bit of nerves. Think this was the perfect team to start, eases us in to the CL, gives us the confidence to take forward as we play more challenging opponents and continues the good feeling and optimism amongst the support. Think Weiss was right, this team are different to the one he faced back in the day, playing fast, modern football and deserve to be in amongst the best of Europe.

Honestly couldn't believe what I was watching last night! At half time I was worried that the missed chances would come back to haunt us but instead the team stepped it up another gear and got even better. Honesttly felt like the old days under MON when we would attack even the best teams and you had complete confidence we would get the result.

Still can't believe how good we were and have been since the first pre season game. Hope those at the game had an incredible time.

Couple of the lads I play football here with are Real Madrid fans, doubt I'll ever have bragging rights again so the league table has been posted several times in our WhatsApp group today:Kyogo:

No doubting they'll finish above us but for now, zero * given:ynwacelti
