I think we're favourites, mate; but they're not deluded. If we were playing a team with our CL home record, we'd be right up for it. This will be a real game that either team can win.

And I love that BTW! The derbies are toxic and the stakes are too high to really enjoy them, the other domestic teams are miles behind us and the usual CL teams we get are miles ahead of us. This, though, is the kind of game you get into football for IMO.

Tbf, I think the lad said one of their best chances, not their best chance. They do have Man City, Bayern, Altetico, etc.

if we cant beat bratislava at home we should just forget about playing in europe and celebrate having £77m in the bank .* the board and the shambolic expectations they have reduced some to . 4 - 0

Should be eyeing up 10 points from those 4 games to seal qualification without needing to rely on taking points from Dortmund, Atalanta, Leipzig and Villa.

We’ve won one CL home game in, what, the last 10 years, yet people are expecting us to win 3 or 4 in a row this season?!
I know we have some “weaker” teams, but they are all still decent sides who are much better than anyone we face on the domestic front, including the huns.

I’m much more optimistic this year than any year in recent history, but I think people are getting carried away their expectations, expecting at least 9 or 10 points at home, plus a couple of results on the road!
Been hurt too many times to get such high hopes for a CL campaign! :56:
    We can dream though…

City general sale tickets for the Inter game start at £47. Arsenal general sale tickets for Shaktar start at £42. £60 for Bratislava is over the odds.

The team picks itself, apart from the 2 CM partner for Cal.
Whichever two out of Engels, Bernardo and Reo I’m sure will do a good job.

I think for the tougher games, or away from home, Engels and Bernardo offer more stability and strength.
Reo has that “x-factor” that can do something special out of nowhere, but he can be a bit more inconsistent at times.
Against arguably the weakest opponent we’ll face, and at home, I’d go for Reo and Bernardo, with Engels coming on around the 55-60th minute mark!

Aye, as Pete says, I am paraphrasing here. The video if you're interested:

I think we just have to be wary that this team has gone away in qualifiers and got results, and possibly won't fear us much. I agree @martin_d we're not their easiest game but they have really tough fixtures on paper.

With John and Stevie both on regularly these days, that channel is 67 Hail Hail in all but name now. I'm glad about that, it was easily the best Celtic YouTube channel IMO.

Is that 3 wins at home?
Thought I read in some match preview that it was one in 10 years, I must have mixed it up with away results or something. :52:

Either way, to go from 3 wins in 10 years to 3 or 4 wins in 1 year would be a massive ask!

Tbf though, for each home game on its own, apart from the Leipzig one, we will be favourites, so not beyond the realms of possibility!
    Exciting times!

I was wrong. It was 2 wins total.
1 at home 2-1 against Feyenoord
    1 away 3-0 against Anderlecht.
Biggest disgrace is that of the last 10 seasons we only made it to group stages 4 times.
In those group stages we managed 2 wins, 6 draws and 16 losses

I think Engels is an absolute stick on to start tbh. Will be between Bernardo and Reo for the other spot.

I think we need 11 and good goal difference judging some of those scores yesterday

Original models show 8 points will be enough to get into the play off. Not enough for last 16 but we'll pump whoever we draw.
