Mouyokolo. He looked like the strong no nonsense defender we have been crying out for. He may not end up that, but I think he showed he is capable of slotting in.

Any news on Van Dijk? Is he still carrying an injury?

I would have Commons instead of Forrest but swap him positions with Samaras.

I agree with this, Commons has never done as well on the right hand side as he does through the middle.

Sammy would have basically a free role and Commons room to wander.

Only reason I've put Balde ahead of Stokes is this teams height, we'll need extra height to defend set pieces.

Was either that or Brown and Ledley off for Ambrose. As much as I like Stokes he isn't as good as Broony or Ledley.

I agree with Balde up top himself ahead of Stokes. I know it was only one game, but I thought that he looked very capable of leading the line himself on Saturday. Stokes seems to forget sometimes that he is up top himself and drifts. Which is fine in a two up top, but not as a lone striker.

Never really fancied Stokes up front on his own, would go with Balde myself as our lone striker :50:

“@itvfootball: We can confirm that we will be showing Celtic v Shakhter Karagandy on Tuesday 20 August at 3.45 on @ITV4”

Thought it would be an early kick off, not that early though!

Exactly 1 good game against a nobody English team and he is automatically 1 st choice. :56:

Though if all of their defenders are 6ft plus then I see the logic

Yeah that was from a poster from Kazaghstan, I'm not sure how accurate they can measure heights there, I'm sure they prob still use sundials to tell the time.

If they are abso massive then this is the only reason I'd start Balde

Liverpool are hardly a nobody team. If we're going to spend £2m on a striker he deserves competitive football. Who knows what this guy can really do, we know for certain though that Stokes isn't cut out to lead the Celtic line in Europe.
