Except as far as I know that's the direct flight time and there are no direct flights from Glasgow to Astana - shortest scheduled flight time is 11.5 hrs! So looks as though Chancellor Peter will have to raid the piggy bank and charter a plane....maybe even a few for the Supporters. Now that would be a fine gesture.

Aye i'd be happy with that too, I reckon we'll definitely beat them at home anyway

It's because of the kick-off time. If the game kicked off at 7.45pm instead of 4pm the game will have been scheduled for ITV 1.

Don't give a * what anyone says but looking at the goals bate lost to this min and the way they played leads me to believe there was a wee bit of money here and there... As usual ill get shot down for claiming this but let's be honest it happens and has been proven before so don't dought my claim

They're a very tall, strong side. I'd play Baldé up front.

This might not necessarily be a bad thing, every SPL team that comes to Parkhead does this, plus we've bought players already who will be really useful at breaking these teams down (Boerrigter) and players who can give us a Plan B (Balde)

Seeing people put Ambrose in their teams for the game. Would much rather play 2 of Mouyokolo, Mulgrew and Van Dijk. Ambrose is a bombscare.

    My team atm would be

    Forster

    Matthews/Lustig Mouyokolo Mulgrew Izzy

    Forrest/Commons Ledley Brown Boerrigter

    Samaras Stokes

Im not sure why some think we should play with physical players up front. Surely the best way to deal with a physical defence is to play with quick technical players.

Derk and Forrest on the wings, Commons in the hole behind sammy. If we need to we can hit it long to sammy and he can win some free kicks but we should be playing the ball on the deck against a team of physical players.

We shouldn't fight fire with fire if the opposing team play this way all the time.

Makes no sense seeing as you don't think he'll ever score :52::smiley-laughing002:

Just kidding, in all seriousness, A more intricate approach would be good. Balde upfront would encourage crosses into the box and long balls, playing right into their hands.

I'm sick of waiting on Forrest delivering in a big game to be honest. And Samaras up top himself is a waste of a jersey in my opinion. He was our main man in Europe last year, and is wasted playing with his back to goal in my opinion. I would like to see Samaras and Boerrigter out wide with Commons in behind the striker. Whether Balde can step up to the plate remains to be seen, but he certainly showed that he can play the lone striker role on Saturday.

They certainly are a big, big team, who will play an aggressive game, but i think they are weak down the flanks and Forrest, Sammy and Stokes can do damage against them.

Boerrigter's delivery to Balde could also be interesting, because they don't look that clever at the back. Going forward they like to get it out wide and swing it into the mixer, so it will be a game for the wingbacks to sit back and stop them getting time to do so.

Other than that i think it's an interesting tie.

The pitch is a bit more grippy than Elfsborgs, so running on it will be a bit easier although it's a bit of a bobbly pitch. Playing with two wide men should work out ok and a runner from midfield.

Really want big Balde to get the nod up front for this one with Derk and Sammy on the wings and Commons in the hole behind the striker.Don't know how many times Lennon has to play Sammy as a striker before he learns he's terrible and Stokes just isn't good enough imo.
