Tbf hammy thought both of them were really good tonight

 

Any other time I’d normally be like that but I have to say I’m actually quite entertained by the games domestically this season and last season we still have 3 rounds of games left first round of games domestically we had a cracker against hearts beat the huns last minute winner against st Johnstone tanked hibs tanked dutd still gonna be an exciting season I’m hoping for a treble

To be fair that Mudryk is top drawer, good size and fast as * also runs with the ball glued to his boot and he's been really clinical. If you try and tackle him he'll probably do you and you'll be left exposed, hard player to stop.

Could see him playing for anyone really, think he's scored 3 or 4 goals maybe more in the CL this season as well.

 

Russia fell right out of it plus I think with the new format we will still have the automatic place beyond next season

The commentator said something about we’ve only kept 1 clean sheet in the last 30 champions league games, I know ange is all about attacking but we have to be solid in defence first and foremost to build for a campaign, clearly his tactics work wonderfully in Scotland but we need to think of something a bit different in Europe

 

I get his point as well.

However, Betis and Leverkusen aren't taking * off of Real Madrid or beating Leipzig 4-1 in their back garden.

Betis haven't been a Champions League team since 2005. They've only got to the Europa League group stages four times (including this season) since then.

Leverkusen are undoubtedly a Champions League level team. However, they're nowhere near as experienced as Shaktar are at this level. We also got gubbed 4-0 by Leverkusen at home.

Shaktar have been in the Europa League group stages once in the last 13 years and in the Champions League group stages for the other 12 years. They beat Leipzig 4-1 in Germany and Real Madrid had to score a last minute equaliser against them. They're no mugs.

 

Don’t worry Donetsk will be playing in Russia soon enough never to be seen in Europe again

Can talk about experience but that shackter team are not experienced in cl like a said the difference was having a home grown blue chip player in mudryk the guy is a 40 million quid player speed strength and skil three things are hard to come by all at once

The reason they are not experienced is they were decimated because of the war and had to string a side together

The club isn't inexperienced though.

They were decimated but let's not pretend that they don't have talent in their ranks, even without Mudryk.

 

A weird team Shakhtar I think, they looked mediocre against us really probably only better than Ferencvaros and Midjsdfghhjlnd who we've played in Europe under Ange as even Alkmaar and Bodo played well and looked quite good against us.

Feel like we should have beat them home and away yet they've done quite well against Real Madrid and Leipzig so who knows what they're up to, possibly didn't think we'd attack them like we did and we made them look worse than they are.

 

Tbf I enjoyed the draw then when I seen we had real first game I had a bad feeling we were so unfortunate that Donetsk fluked a result because of a * goalkeeper and * manager then Leipzig changed manager and got their act together in times for us really bad luck could have done with Leipzig away as first game

They're a relatively solid team with a top class player dragging them forward. Without Mudryk they're worse than us I'd say, with him they're deadly on the counter

 

If the fixtures were the exact opposite we might have gone through, we definitely got bad luck with that.

You'd rather have had the Madrid away game first then 2 home games in a row against Shakhtar and Leipzig, the way it turned out by not beating Madrid it put pressure on us to then probably have to win one of those away games then cause we never we really had to win our 2 home games.

 

He's looks the real deal, after guys like Vinicius and Leao he's got to be up there with anyone on the left even Diaz of Liverpool is a bit erratic and not the best finisher, Coman injury prone.

Would think everyone will be in for him in January.

 

I thought they were much much better tonight than in Poland..

We dominated and battered them for about 70 minute's at least out there. They were very good on the ball tonight, playing out from the back and ripped us apart a few time's..

 

Whatever he cost's for an elite side....he's a bargain..

One of the most devastatingly quick players we've come up against in recent time's and with the close control and end product to go with it..

He has it all..

 

You could say we aren't ready for this level.

You could say we are still developing.

You could say our style and philosophy aren't practical at this level.

But I say we've had a singular issue: finishing. And it's finishing alone for me.

Real Madrid : 62 shots. 23 shots on goal. 10 goals.

RB liepzig: 57 shots. 22 shots on goal. 9 goals.

Shakhtar: 51 shots. 14 shots on goal. 8 goals.

In this group only RM have had more shots and more shots on target than us. One.

One more shot on target.

The football gods just weren't looking our way this year.

Anyone who says we aren't good enough clearly isn't even paying attention.
