I've said it before and I'll say it again - we need pure unadulterated Angeball to win this fixture. If ever there was a side to be got at, its this mob.

Folk say we're on a sticky patch but I think we've been credible enough in Europe thus far, minus a mistake and a couple missed sitters.

Ange to give the motivational speech of his life and the Bhoys to put the last few games behind them in style in front of a raucous crowd. Vintage UCL night under the lights incoming.

Remember our 3-0 at Parkhead against the tribute act last season? Remember feeling like the atmosphere was so on our side that they seemed demoralised before a ball was even kicked. More of that atmosphere tonight please

 

The team must know they underperformed last week so hopefully they will be out to make amends for it. A full Celtic Park, with the fans giving it big time, will both motivate the players and hopefully put the fear up the opposition. Another thing in our favour is that we will have neutral officials for this game and not the corrupt, masonic cheating feckers we get in our domestic league. Yep, still raging with the referee and his wee baldy linesman from the St Johnstone game. .

Ok..I'm procrastinating. Need to do some boning for my assessment day tomorrow to be a 'platform moron'
To the kettle..to procrastinate some more!

 

Obviously we are missing McGregor from the 11 but if we can in essence, start the game in the exact same fashion as we did against Madrid....we win this.

Frustratingly anything less and it will be a long turgid night

My prediction is Celtic 1 - 3 Leipzig

 

I remember plenty of times when we have gone into important matches with some injury issues and not at our strongest thinking where the result was going to come from.
I recall back when we beat the high-flying Barcelona side 2-1, that we had to slot Matthews in at LB due to injury which made me think, Christ, we have no chance.

We can win this troops. We just need to have the correct attitude going onto that pitch. If we do, and with our great support, we can make this another special night and set ourselves up for the Shaktar match.

First 30 minutes will decide the game, I think. If we start how I expect us to and - this is the unlikely part - take our chances, we could be 2-0 up with the crowd bouncing before half time. They will create, no doubt, and we'll need luck, but an early goal will get us right up for it and then who knows.

There's been quite a bit of despondency from a few Celtic fans going into this game however, there's a lot I'm not sure about re last weeks game - were we really that bad last week or was it all down to individual mistakes and failing to take our chances again or were Leipzig just a much better team?. I think there were times we made them them look better than what they really are and, if we had converted our chances, it would have been a totally different outcome. I think Ange will have learned a lot from last weeks performance (as will the players) and we will see the real Celtic tonight with a much better outcome

 

Not that confident tbh but hopefully Celtic turns up tonight.

Should Kyogo start or big GG? Genuinely can’t decide. Guess if Jota doesn’t then it makes that a bit easier with Kyogo out wide & GG in the middle. But what a loss if Jotas out!!
I’d also like to see Bernabei start & Haksabanovic. Both attacking players they haven’t seen before (Bernabei & Haksabanovic).
Bernabei & Jovanovic could be exciting & throwing quality balls into the box.
I think we’ll score, more than once, but will we concede less? I’d partner CCV with Jenz I think over Welsh.
