I'm not brimming with confidence going into this but historically we're a different animal at home so fingers crossed they pull it off. But I'm just going in with no expectations and hoping they come out all guns blazing.

Can see us raising our game for this one, we actually weren't terrible over there but looked like we lacked belief to go and win. That should change at home with a buzzing crowd behind us (hopefully)...

Need our match winners Jota, Kyogo, Haksa & Reo to turn it on big time. They're there to be got at, big doubts about how easy they hit us on the break and whether we self-sabotage again though.

    2-1 to the Bhoys.

Not a chance Mooy is playing in this game. This game needs tempo, he doesnt have it. If we were looking to see it out then yes he has a place, but not in this game.

wouldnt mind seeing the system tinkered a little to offer a bit more protection, i know it wont happen but for talks sake i think this formation would provide it whilst allowing us to attack also.

Can’t be anything other than optimistic. Let’s * do them. The biggest game we’ve had for years in Europe.

What's so frustrating is that we didn't look awful and we're still creating some fairly decent chances...just didn't have the quality needed to put them away.

Back at home, fans in support, even with McGregor missing I'd still be slyly confident of getting a good result

Do think we’ll lift it, not saying we will win but we definitely have a chance. Bit more belief in ourselves, take our chances and we’ll be well on our way to qualification hopefully.

    Hart

    Juranovic Carter-Vickers Jenz Taylor

    Hatate Abildgaard O’Riley

    Haksabanovic Kyogo Jota

    2-1 Celtic.

Getting an early goal in a game like this would do our confidence a world of good

Not confident for this one at all. No idea what midfield Ange will start with either as if he wants to play Abildgaard I thought he would have started yesterday.

The last time we beat them we had a make shift midfield missing our captain right enough, although I fear this is a better team. They failed to win yesterday and have seemed to struggle away but the physicality and pace in their team gives me the fear.

If we are to have any chance we can’t miss so many chances and give anything cheap away.

We need a better performance and I think we’ll get one.

Reo and O’Riley need to have stormers, CCV will also be a massive positive over the away leg.

    It's win or bust.

We won’t do it but I would alter our approach to this game over the away leg.

Leipzig like to get it forward quick so I would try frustrate their CBs on the ball. I wouldn’t have Kyogo chase the keeper but focus on Gvardiol, make sure he doesn’t get the ball easy, even if it means Orban gets it fairly easily.

I would keep our wingers on their full backs so the ball to them is cut off and have O’Riley and Hatate tighter to Abildgaard as the deepest CM. There trigger would be to make sure none of the Leipzig CMs are on for an easy pass, when we have the ball only one of them should go at any time and the other remain deeper. Having those two who are good on the ball deep should allow us to pick out our forwards when we turnover possession. Also with only one of them going forward at a time it should stop them gassing so quickly.

The same would go for the full backs if one goes the other stays try and stop us being vulnerable to the counter as much.

Given they both have good distribution that is another option if we turn it over to get the ball forward quickly.

Given how many men they throw forward we should have good counter attacking opportunities and need our forward three to take advantage. Given this I would play Jota, Haksabanovic and Kyogo.

I think that approach would make us a lot more solid but still carry a good threat.

Crowd will sing YNWA then give an almighty roar as the CL anthem begins. We'll try to start quickly, maybe create a few things then Leipzig will get down the field and score. We'll become nervy as will the crowd, Leipzig will gain confidence, we'll struggle to get the ball off them and will be wasteful because of the tension when we do. Score probably 3-1 to the German side. That is the basic template for a match against anything other than poor opposition at Celtic park in recent times and unfortunately I don't see it changing this Tuesday. Hope I'm wrong.

Sad to say I agree. This has become the norm in recent years unfortunately.

Paradise will become a fortress sooner or later, and I am confident that it will happen under Ange, but might be take another season or two.
