Rangers are nothing great but as WOLFETONE says we just self-destructed!

They DO look better than last season, though. Mendes will be good I think.

I still cannae believe Miller got 2, even if Artur did hand it to him. Boruc was away wi the fairies the day. Oot bevvyin nae doubt. I'm just glad ma wee boy wanted to watch Pokemon on the telly rarther than this on the pc wi me!

Fingers will have to be extracted now. Pep talk from Lenny.....

    Yeah, genius!....

Jan needs a right kicking for being so stupid and Boruc needs to pay more attention in these games. He gets too caught up in the rivalry and loses focus on the task in hand.

The main fault here was the organisation of our defensive shape. Way too many times Rangers got in between our midfield and defence and also attacked more directly, which we struggled badly to cope with.

Wilson isn't as at fault as many are saying, he is after all a right back playing at left back. The main problem here in this game was Rangers having a bit of class in midfield, who could put his foot on the ball and play good passes and that was Mendes. Brown just doesn't seem to want to play for us, I thought that last season but put it down off field problems. The excuses are running out a bit now though.

Davis knows how to play McGeady when he goes on his fast runs so we lost that side of our attacking potential which is our main strength, unfortunately we don't have a lot of other ideas.

All in all this was really bad but 1 goal was a stormer, another 2 the keeper at fault and for Kelly, it was fated he would score against us, though for the 1st Cousin dived for a penalty and it should have been a freekick to us.

Keep faith and hopefully we'll get better as the season goes on.

    We DID NOT play badly.

Individual errors and a lucky long ranger set us apart. A draw would have been a fair result but it was one of those days where NOTHING would go our way.

In terms of how we set up I am very disapointed in Scott Browns performance and can't understand why strachan played him instead of Robson. Even the 20 mins or so Robson got he done more in that time than Brown did all game.

And of course the left back problem pops up again. That opening goal really set the tone and that is down to the fact we have a right back, whos not great defensively shoe-horned into left back and just happens to be next to McManus who with every game goes down in my estimation.

The only positive I can take is its early doors for the season and that game should be a warning to our players that we need to step things up if we're gonna win the SPL for the fourth time in a row.

I still see a team/squad with huge amounts of talent from CM forward but not playing well today PLUS a defense with a very poor left side. I think now (incase of injury) Loovens is not enough and another CH may be needed. Its clear we need a really good LB. Thought the right side of defense was OK. When we play a team full of wee ball players like Maloney, Aidan and Naka you need a rock solid defense. It would be an awful shame if a potential great side fails due to being a couple of good defenders short. Lawell - even if you need to pay over the odds, get in a top LB and another CH.

theres 2 good things I can say about that game. 1. nakas freekick 2. the undeserved hun hatred for miller might be eased a bit.

mcgeady is becoming too predictable. and it should have been a freekick to celtic right before millers first goal.

Our performance was an absolute * disgrace today.
But that said i'm not going to sit and sulk and say "ooohhh christ we're absolutely pish we're gonna get gubbed in the CL and the huns will win the league *hand to the forehead* "
Our squad is superior to rangers' and we were at home, so yes we definately should have won today, but we're bound to have a bad performance sometime, it's just terrible luck it happened against them. I still believe we will win the league and will play some great football this season.
If in a few months we are getting gubbed in the league and have had a few too many abysmal performances then you can come on here and make me eat my words.

All teams have to do it now and again. It's not a sign of weakness.

that will probably be one of the calmest sanist thing said. Am just waiting for the sack WGS crowd returning to their PC shortly. Best to keep calm, rational and identify the problem. The problem IMO is the LB and to a lesser degree Mick. LB is a disaster and Mick is OK but we can defo do better. I believe Loovens will replace Mick soon but what is he or Caldwell is injured? New LB and CB in next 24 hours or we are risking a potentially very good team failing because you are only as good as your weakest link.

This was NOT an off day, that is just papering over the huge cracks that were clear last season.

We were PUMPED by a mediocre Huns team, which contains one good player in Mendes. The rest are *.
Cousin, who cannot get a game for them bulied Caldwell and McManus all afternoon

I saw NOTHING today of a positive nature.
Name me a Celtic player who played well.

Well done Gordon, bring a striker on with 6 minutes to go at 4_1 down

    LEFT BACK NEEDED YESTERDAY:31:

I said at the end of the season we needed to strengthen well to bury the Huns by bringing in
    a quality Midfielder (maybe Crosas)
    Quality Striker ( NOT SAMARAS)
    LEFT BACK ????????????????????????????????????????????
    Right Back CADDIS anybody) ?????????????????????????????????????????
    Centre Half (Maybe Loovens)

Why did Loovens and Crosas not play at any stage today ?

Brown is truly dreadful 4 million pounds wasted.
Hinkel and Wilson are just poor footballers.
McManus is also average at best.
    Naka Anonymous, free kick apart
    Aiden done NOTHING
Maloney good in flashes but given no support or service.

WORST CELTIC PERFORMANCE AGAINST HUNS SINCE JOHN BARNES ERA.

Huns could have scored 7 today.

Lawell, you have * about all summer, and it has came back to haunt us today.

My mate is a Liverpool fan and went to Ipox and saw Liverpool reserves pump the Huns 4 going on 8 nil.

He said to me " Rangers are worse than any premiership team, truly dreadful."
