Set-piece was the most startling difference. Robsons delivery at both corners and free kicks hangs too high in the air meaning we couldnt properly attack crosses.

Compare that with Davis who was whipping them in at pace not much above head hight. It was only ever going to take one instance of a hun meeting one of his crosses for the inevitable to happen.

I didnt even watch the screen at their goal as I had a horrible feeling that they would score.

Have we had ANY important decisions go our way this season???? An absolute disgrace.

I know the Huns always get more decisions than us throughout any season, but this one seems the worst in a good few years, what a coincidence with the Huns in financial meltdown.............

Mowbray has to make more of this, we've dropped at least 12 points this season due to the masons in the black.

i know we played etc etc ......but i think it is clear to see how bad Rangers really are..... as Mowbray wanted we passed them off the park, i do have a couple of issues though ........

we were way to slow out of defense against a team that had no pace at the back or in midfield.

Barry Robson might give you dig but couldnt, cross, pass, hit a corner, freekick.... use his right foot. list is endless.

fox shouldn't hit another free kick, crosas for me best striker of the ball

would start mcginn on the right every game.....

All in all, we didn't beat them when they were there for the taking, injury ridden.. The fact that they got away with a point, guts me. With there full team next old firm, its going to be a mch closer match, I still think we could and should beat them, next two meeting.

    Keep the faith:shamrock:

Gutted at the fact we didnt win the game and win by quite a margin. But apart from the result,a single defensive mistake and an inabilty to finish the majority of chances i think the team were brilliant,n'guemo in particular,we're goin to miss him. I honestly believe with 2 CBs and a striker we'll win the league at a canter.the bhoys can be proud of their performance.

no matter how we dress this up we are still the nearly team have been for years. when we play this mob, and have to endure ex players commentary's gloating and ball licking, and from ones that we once gave every thing too, and there family they now bite the hand that once fed them

Gutted, we played them off the park today but just could not finish.
They were absolutely rank rotten but credit to them for taking one chance and finishing it.
Thought Caldwell was actually pretty decent today apart from the 1 mistake, he was winning everything in the air against that * Boyd. Speaking of which if Kris Boyd was playing for Celtic today we would've won about 4-0.

Yes the referee was pretty bad, Lafferty should have been off and our goal should've stood, it would've changed the game, but part of the blame still lies with us, we should've had it dead and buried by half time.

Im just back from the pub ..Im in a state of shock !! i know its been probably done to death but 2 point that swung it for me

1..The Goal that was (but got ruled out) ..can anyone please tell me why the goal was disallowed ?? what has the ref said ? no doubt he will come out in the press this week and say he got it wrong !! just like last time with the pen decision .....

    2. The lafferty incident ..I cant for the life think of a worse challenge it was similair to the one brown took in the CL a couple of seasons back !! Shocking , Awful , Disgusting are words i have heard , what really happened was pure out and out Assault !! yes Assault ..Look at Laffertys face and you will see he meant it ..If the SFA dont act on this they will be cowards unwilling to face the facts ..How do you teach Kids to play football and then go on to show them that an assault on another player is only worth a yellow card !!!!

Both these happened in the 1st half that We dominated Psycologically it was a bitter blow to have both these decisions go against us and undoubtably affected the mentallity of our team for a while

I dont even think Rangers came to play anti football today, we just played them off the park, which is why WS seemed so downbeat at the end. They believed that with the form they were in and Boyd breaking the record they were going to come today and beat us fair and square.

The disallowed goal has been done to death, it was a shocking decision, as was Lafferty's challenge on Hinkel. Would have no sympathy for him if he was to have his filthy orange legs shattered by someone.

The linesman's decision to give offside on Fortuné in the first half when he was 5 yards on wasn't a bad decision, it was cheating. But we've seen it before and no doubt we will see it again. Thats two Old Firm games this season and about 8 or 9 disasterous decisions (all against us surprise surprise). Something has to be done, where is the accountability?

I thought for the entire 90 minutes we were by far the better side and played well throughout. Defensively I felt we were pretty solid (apart from the goal - thanks Caldwell, you can * off and earn your £20K a week somewhere else you money grabbing rat), in midfield I thought N'Guemo was magnificent and Crosas was also very good. McGeady had by far his best Old Firm game and Robson did alright in the first half although I would have changed him for McGinn at the same time as McDonald came on (and if not definitely after they equalised). Up front Fortuné did well as did Samaras although Samaras should have done better when he slid it wide with his left in the first half. Leaving McDonald on the bench was the right move I think and when he came on he did exactly what was required.

I'd love to say that if we keep playing like that we'll "win the league at a canter" like others have been saying, but the bottom line is that Rangers are the champions, and are leading the league by 7 points. We can only go on claiming to be the better side for so long before we need to actually prove it. We are sorely lacking in defence and up front and that is plain to see. Before the month is out I feel we must see one top quality centre half who can win the ball aggressively, command the penalty box, pass and mark properly, and a striker who is quick, clinical and doesn't spend half the match on the wing. I'd give TM £10M and tell him he can spend £35K a week on wages for each of them. If Rangers manage to make it 2IAR then it says just as much about us as it does about them.

Honestly today I'm absolutely gutted, I really felt we'd win and we really should have.

We fully deserved to win that game today. The ref bottled the big decisions against us.
Lafferty should have been off and the Fortune goal was legitimate.

Caldwell was the culprit again for the Ranger's goal.
We should always have a man on each post at corner kicks.

    1) Tony Mowbray - please write out 100 times for tomorrow.
" At corners. always have 2 men, one on either post"

the amount of goals that can be saved by this simple tactic is ENORMOUS! It cost us 2 points today!

    2) the referee , in my opinion, in his first Celtic- rangers game, did not want to make any controversial decisions. He erred on the side of safety, scared in being labelled 'soft" at the goal, or "over the top" for the Lafferty decision. Both were wrong decisions.

    3) This for you young guys and girls was the Tommy Burns era all over again. We played them off the park and go away with nothing but a "moral " victory.
I feel the same way as a loss. in fact since the game I have said to others, "I cant believe we lost that one" It just feels like a loss....so much were we on top.

    4) What goes around comes around?
these things balance themselves out over a season?
waiting for some 'get out of jail" decisions for us and some horrendous decisions against them.

i can only echo what everyone else has said; in particular todays game has brought back the nightmarish spectre of the 9IAR games of my childhood being so so dominant and getting nothing, well rather not getting what we deserve.

ref was shocking as usual, not much more to be said. i hope lafferty will get a ban but wont coz the ref booked him so no chance of trial by tv.

if anything, the big positive for me is that it prooves beyond any doubt Mogga can motivate the players, can get us playing good football and the fans who have been underwhelmed by him since he took the job should give him a break

defence certainly needs fixing, once again Caldwell loses his man at a corner which was a shame because he was solid otherwise

the myth about the huns brilliant football was brutally exposed today, "greatest SPL striker ever" Boyd's only contribution was getting booked and without Allan McGregor (quickly becoming an almost Goram-esque figure???) the huns would be up * creek; heres hoping he's sold this month!!

i still believe we can win the title, we need to freshen up the squad a bit this month but those with doom laden outlooks should remember that this time last year we were 7 clear having played the same number of games; win our game in hand and its right back down to 4 points!!

all in all dissapointed, but by no means angry, the bhoys played very well today.

The best football i have seen under Mowbary so far at least up until the final third. If Samaras and Fortune could finish not only would we have won today, we would win this league with ease.
Our central defence was fantastic today, again proving Boyd is a star against the small teams. Honestly never seen his trouble our defence, cant remember him even having an effort at goal. Caldwell showed the form of last season, hopefully he will stay.
Not seen the replays of the disallowed goal yet but even my mate, a massive Hearts fan, text me saying it should definetely have stood and if it had it would have obviously changed the game.
I can't see either us or Rangers dropping many points through the rest of the season but hopefully the board will invest in the team and we can take back what is ours

Whilst I agree that we were cheated and unlucky not to have converted more chances I despair of Tony Mowbray.

It should have been obvious long before he brought on McDonald that having both his strikers doing most of their work outside the box was going to limit the opportunites to score.

Samaras and Fortune spend far too much time outside of the box in my opinion, when you want the strikers attacking the ball in the area. Our one natural finisher was on the bench, which was fair enough as he has sucked in recent weeks.

However, with the pressure we were applying, we badly needed him in there and it was no surprise when he scored almost immediately. How many balls were played into areas where the strikers should have been? How many chances fell to midfielders or defenders?

It really is simple stuff. Martin O'Neill's first instruction to Henrik was to spend more time in the box and leave the build-up play to others. In doing so, he transformed an excellent footballer into an incredible goal machine.

Samaras will never be that good but I am sure we would get many more goals if Tony Mowbray gave him the same advice. It seems to me that he is doing the same job as Fortune.

Wow !!! One of the most dominant Celtic performances in an O** F*** game for years & nothing to show for it but 2 points dropped. How on earth is that mob 7 points clear? They are absolute rubbish. Played them off the park is one thing... blown them away is another.

If only lessons learned at schoolboy level were still taught at Lennoxtown... Corners, a man on each post is a must ! As for the other end of the park, for all the industry and chances created, the one thing it served ws a reminder that Skippy remains our sole natural finisher. End of.

The ref was poor, as has been discussed... How on earth was the Fortune goal disallowed? As for the Lafferty 'tackle'... seriously, that could've been a career-ender for Hinkel. Strathclyde Police should be preparing a charge of GBH & assault. The SFA have to have the balls to turn around and not just hide behind the 'ref dealt with the incident at the time' excuse, and take action accordingly. After the 'Mulgrew' incident, its all the more of a reminder that the traditional culture of cheating is alive and well in mordor... some things never change.

Apologies if this has been posted before but was McCulloch not guilty of leading with his arm when he jumped for their goal? The same linesman didn't seem to think so but I think he was deliberately using his arm to get his header in. Strange that he got away with it while Fortune was punished for the same alleged offence without actually having committed it.

dont forget it was 2 clear cut pens and 1 given last time ,the disalowed goal looks like he thinks fortune used his arm, whether it was to hit the ball or as leverage on goalie ,but from wot a seen it was clearly niether.

walter smith has to be the luckiest manager ever how many times has he came away from an old firm game his team having been given a lesson and he walks away with a point and sometimes three, the scottish media would have you believe its his tactics, but hes just just one jammy *.:31:
