Do we not have quite a good recent record in OF evening KO's?

Certainly the 2-1 game with Big Jans winner and Wilsons goal last year. Anyone got a stat on this?

The only reason I can think that it would be more mental than usual is because of the time of year and people being off work.

There have been plenty of night kick offs between the two sides before and there hasn't been that much trouble. But I agree, with the time of year and people not having to go to work the next day, it could cause a bit more turmoil than is standard for these games.

Anyone on here that's going to the game, stay safe and make sure you get home in one piece :50:

Ive been saying it since they announced the game. The difference with a NY game is that its usually an early kick and doesn't give as much time for getting pished, 7:45pm kick off though gives a full days drinking time and like you said it's the festive period so the majority will be off work.

Apparently the game was scheduled for this time to lower the risk of bother after the march game that seems to have kicked off this whole * with the government getting involved, funnily enough though that was also a wednesday night game. All they are doing is adding the festive amounts of drink into the equation, Hammer got it spot on when he says it's a crazy decision!

Only thing I'm not liking about the kick off is how cold it's gonna be, bought myself some battery heated electric socks in preparation.

I asked the same question on here a few weeks ago and its before 2005 since we lost a night game at Parkhead. They aren't played that often right enough, but its still impressive.

As for night games at Mordor, I honestly couldn't tell you. Its been a long while since we've played there under the floodlights.

I think its a perfect time for a game that these politicans will be wanting something to rant about again. Everyone knows well that theres going to be trouble. When i seen teh fixture list and seen what time thsi was at i was speechless because last season they came out and where saying the oposite about this kick off time.

On the other hand thou , its going to be one of the best atmospheres in years and i can see plenty of republican songs from the whole stadium when everyone is full of drink, lol, celtic may get the cheque book out for the fine were going to get,lol

Last time we played at ibrox at night in the cis cup when Hartson scored first but the huns went on to win in extra time. And cant wait for this going to be some atmosphere.

Don't let the media fool you about trouble at Old Firm games. The slightest little thing at these fixtures get highlighted so they can try and sell more papers. They HATE it when nothing much happens.

For example, the so called 'shame game'... there were more arrests at a Take That concert the following week than there was at that match FFS.

Anyway... are most people still off at Xmas and NY for 2 weeks these days? I'd have thought a lot would still be having to work on the Thursday...

Can't * wait. Will have the usual butterflys in the tummy a few days before ect ect.

Love these games, especially at night. Agree with previous poster who said that some people are still half asleep for 12:30 games.

Think Parkhead will be bouncing for this. With how good the atmosphere has been lately, can you imagine how loud it will be for an Old Firm game.

We could easily beat Feburary 20th, in my opinion, if we are up for it.

Hope the team are up for it too. Can you imagine beating Rangers 3-0. What a way to finish off the year that would be.

The evening KO certainly raised a few eyebrows when it was announced but I also prefer the night games as you get a far better atmosphere.

Of course there will be some fans too drunk to even get in and many others full of it. But hopefully we don't see any trouble though if we give them a skelping we all know the Huns dont take defeat well at all.
