We need to show the work rate and desire in this one, our players are much fitter and better technically, if we put our mind to it we could pass them off the park whilst at the same time chasing down every ball, Kayal and Broony will set the tone and the rest will follow, Forrest and Hooper will get the goals!

I just signed up to the celtictalk forum, the reason i signed up for the forum is however fairly simple:

I am from the Netherlands and between christmas and new years eve i' ll be in Scotland. Being a celtic fan i want to see Celtic - Rangers. Not in celtic park, cause the average price of 300 pounds is a little too high for me. So next best thing is to see it in a pub. But which?

Ill be staying in Edinburgh so i come by train to Glasgow and i dont want to end up in a Rangers pub. Do you have any suggestions for a pub in the centra of glasgow?

    Thanks in advance

Firstly mate welcome to TC. I would try on match day gettingto the stadium early and see if anyone has spare tickets for sale. Best place to try is around the supporters bus parking area right next to the main stand. Even for derby games there are usually some available. Celtic fans with any will sell them to you at face value I'm sure.

There will be pubs numerous pubs in the Gallowgate area of Glasgow mate which will be showing the game. The Gallowgate is not really in the city center but only a short bus journey away, or a 20 minute walk.

In the city center itself there are several Irish bars which will be showing the game. I have to go out just now but if nobody gives a list here by the time I get back I'll post details of the Irish bars in Glasgow and their location.

Thanks for the recommendations. Do you have any idea of how expensive tickets will be on match day? Or am i missing on the "face value"? I dont know where this phrase stands for:)

Face value means the price the ticket was originally purchased for. That's around £30-50 I'm guessing. I definitely reccomend going to the stadium before the match, very early, and see if anyone is selling one. It is the best football fixture in the world!

I thought all tickets were around 300 pounds because i tried tot buy them online. But its probably cheaper for season ticket holders i guess. Thats what i am used to with Feyenoord (of which i have a season ticket for 12 years now)

Maybe there is still hospitality available for around 150 pound for this game. Best send an email to Celtic hospitality if interested.

Online tickets will be from touts and too often they promise tickets but never deliver or charge a fortune. I'd never give them the satisfaction of paying over the odds.

Face value I think is around £42 even allowing a few £ for anyone selling you a spare as a thank you £50 would be a fair price to pay.

As said earlier mate try at the stadium first and if by say 7.00pm you haven't managed to get one you still have time to get back to the Gallowgate or city center to watch the game on TV.

Link to Bars in Glasgow that have Celtic connections are below.

    http://www.celticbars.com/barsg.html

The city center one listed is MaCconnels in Hope Street. That is about a 5-10 minute walk from the Railway station ( Queen Street). Another not listed is the Irish Bar Molly Malones which is not far from Macconnels.

If you need a street map of where everything is or which bus's to get just ask.

I'd go with that but bring in Forrest for Stokes. I think Forrest has to play in this. Again though it's hard on Stokes but I think Lennon will favour the 5 in midfield. Which I think could be the right way to go.

    Matthews-Rogne-Mulgrew-Emilio

    Wanyama-Kayal-Ledley

    Forrest-Hooper-Samaras

I feel we need to score an early goal in this, do that and we will win.

However if we don't I think it's going to be a long game which will end either 0-0 or 1-1..

I would pick this against the huns

    Forster
    Cha Rogne Mulgrew Ledley
    Brown Kayal Wanyama Forrest
    Hooper Samaras

Matthews instead of Cha if hes fit.

It will be important to have Rogne, Mulgrew, Wanyama and Samaras on to defend set peices as if the huns score it will most likely be from a corner or freekick. I think they will have Whittaker, Papac, Goian, Bocanegra, Edu, McCulloch, Lafferty and Jelavic all playing who are all 6ft+
