Aye cause Aidan was so goo in the 30 minutes he was on! Aidan never shows up at OF games and a * of a lot of Celtic fans were happy he wasnt picked. I am totally sick of the guys attitude, antics and the fact he only is any use in about one game in 5. His dribbing flatters to decieve. I would put McCourt or Koko in now. They both look like they actually have end product.

i dont agree with this opinion..........strachan was right to start mc geady on the bench, cos he was * when he came on.......mc geady come on and was poor, but he is a winger and needs the ball played to him,i cant remember had he one dribble and lost it,he came into a * game, with no atmosphere, players were bollix, and oviously aiden mc geady was * off being on the subs bench.

what was the reasoning for dropping him?

i thought he was a cert for starting, especially after his performance for ireland on wednesday imo.

    lol,,total crap you are talking...

you know as many facts about his antics and attitude as anyone else on here,,just keep believing what you read in trash red tops,,i take it its just coincedence that no player is performing consistently well for us...:87:

the bhoy just gave a motm performance in an international qualifier and comes back to wgs sticking him on the bench for a huge game,,i was disgusted to see him on the bench and i am sure the MAJORITY of celtic fans were as well,,a clear lack of balls from wgs....mcgeady is the most dangerous player we have and no-one would have been happier than wattie to see the wee man was'nt starting against the huns..

as for mizuno and mccourt having more end product than mcgeady this is the stupidest statement i've read on this site ever........

I don't think you can deny mate that McGeady has been poor this year, not to mention all the rammies he has been involved in on and off the pitch.
Not exactly the perfect role model, and to be fair he can flatter to deceive
with no end product, and I think that is why Strachan has quite rightly benched him. I think you will find that when Sean Maloney is back again after injury he will get the nod over Aiden.

he has'nt been at his best this season but who has for us.....

rammies,,ok i see your willing to believe everything mcgeady has been accused of,, i aint....

my reaction to seeing that mcgeady was on the bench against the huns was what the fck is strachan playing at,,as i said before a clear lack of balls from wgs,,we should be trying to beat them no settling for a draw..

you're probably right regards maloney,,seems flood is now ahead of him:31:and i think robson would have been too if he was fit...

in the ireland game mcgeady was bang in form,,why you would want to leave someone who played that good out of your team is beyond me,,he's the most gifted player we have ffs......

How he plays for Ireland is irrelevant. By all accounts he is generally poor for them too and the last game for them was an exception.

People just see the dribbling but the guy has a pea for a football brain. Not a clue when to release the ball and playes like a kid who has to beat the same player 3 times (and usually loses it) before he crosses. He flatters to decieve and I doubt he is ever going to be the player people think. He has been promising for 5 seasons now! He has his attibutes but a lot of huge flaws too which mean he will never by a really great player. Hes the 3rd best wide player at Celtic right now at best and I suspect there are others with more end product. If anyone ever offers anothing over 6 million I will pay for his taxi.

He aways does and there is a reason for that. Wee Shaun when 100% fit is twice the player Aidan is. OK Aidan can dribble but to what end? Maloney is a great wee player who not only has a far better football brain and can spot a pass but he also has a * of a shot, is a deadball expert, scores far more, covers his fullback, is obviously far more of a team player, doesnt upset other players/the manager, seems a really nice level headed modest mature guy and is a model proffesional. You can see why WGS loves him. There really is no case for Aidan over Shaun.

Eh????How a player plays for a different team with different players, in different role against Georgia is no use to Celtic. Nobody gave Scott Brown credit when he was playing gash for us but was excellent for Scotland last year. In fact it makes it even more infuriating that he rarely shows in important games for us.

Brown showed what he was capable of when playing for Scotland and eventually he came through for us, he's been outstanding this season. Aiden was IMMENSE last season for us and i believe he will be again.

Gunt am i right in saying your one of the ones who criticize people on here for having a dislike of Strachan regardless of the success he's brought here? If that's true start reading off your own hymn sheet m8

last season mcgeady was allowed to express himself and he was incredible for us last season,,im 100% convinced wgs is to blame for mcgeady's poor performing this season,,he's been on the lads case since the 4-2 reverse to the huns and everytime he shows glimpses of the mcgeady of last season wgs sticks him back on the bench,,another fine example of his man managment.......since tb(* rest him)has gone wgs and mcgeady have been at loggerheads...imo wgs does'nt know how to get the best out of him or any other player for that matter,,certainly not at the moment anyway...
