    My Ideal Line Up

    Boruc
    Hinkel Caldwell McManus O'Dea
    Brown Hartley Crosas Nakamura
    McDonald McGeady

    What WGS will play

    Boruc
    Hinkel Caldwell McManus Naylor
    Nakamura Brown Hartley McGeady
    McDonald VOH

My prediction is 2-0 Celts with McDonald & McGeady on my line up and 1-0 Celtic on WGS's line up with Vennegoor breaking his goal duct!

I like the idea off the 4-2-3-1.id also consider giving hutchy the chance, but he doesnt get a chance when we needed a goal against st mirren,so doubt gordan would throw him in.so if it was a straight choice between sammy and jan,id play sammy.just because he's more mobile than jan.could catch weir out with his pace.

Samaras just because i have a wierd preminition that he'll score a double and we'll win 2-0. Got a few quid on it aswell. Probs totally pointless. I think either him or JVOH will break their duck at last:56:

id start him with big jan coz everytime a ball is hit up the field he'll beat the defenders to it and nod it on to skippy

we cant play skippy on his own.. because mcmanus and caldwell always always always play a big high ball up the the fowards.. and with the smallest player on the pitch up on his own that wont work

If there was ever a game to play McGeady and Naka it would be this one, surely we need to exploit the size of the pitch.

We have to exploit that space. Rangers will almost certainly play 4-5-1 to counter it by sitting deep and getting tight.

They'll go with at least one pacy player down one flank or the other and pack out the middle of the park with Davis, Ferguson, McCulloch and Mendes. We will almost certainly need some punching power in the midfield ourselves to rough them up.

But we do not have to surrender any quality players to do it.

    Going with a lineup of:

    Boruc
    Hinkel Caldwell McManus O'De
    Hartley Crosas
    Brown Nakamura McGeady
    McDonald

We can use Hartley to sit way back and shield the defence incase of a Rangers breakaway and knock them about when they're on the ball, let Brown chase them all over the midfield and allow him, Nakamura and McGeady freedom to roam when attacking. Nakamura and Crosas linking up can cut them to bits.

Nakamura and Crosas have the intelligence to utilise the smallest of spaces to our advantage and they could find a lot of space at Hampden if they're on the game. McGeady getting out to the touchline will drag them wide and Brown has the energy to get into any gaps and work the ball.

I have faith in Jan and Samaras but with the way they've been playing sacrificing either of them for dominance in the midfield is by far worth the trade off in this game.

(OR you could put Flood in before Hartley, give us more energy and technical ability)

It wouldn't be fair to throw big Hutch into this one. We have to go with Jan.
