One of the fastest games of football I've watched in a while.

I'm a happy/content Celtic fan. I didn't think I'd be saying this given the previous debacle of our signing/selling policies with the mysterious mind games of our board.

We've seen a no-name join our club as manager, bond with the players and fans. His initial period, without transition from old, could have cost him his job. Luckily for us, we got through it and we are now reaping the rewards of a bit of faith. I myself was teetering on the edge with the appointment but we endure as fans don't we.

The stadium was emptying, then came Inter. A spark to remind fans that their hard end cash is still worth the investment at Celtic Park. A taste that Deila may just bring more glamorous nights to Parkhead. That the slog of St.Mirren or Killie and home will be all worth it again.

It's all just simmering nicely. We've brought in fresh talent, exciting talent, potentially from a new golden era of Scottish football.

Nationally, things are looking up, players want to turn out for wee Gordon Strachan, playing for the national team is no shame anymore, players across the land will be inspired by what they see at club level, more young Scottish boys getting the chance, like the good old days.

The gas is being cranked up towards 10IAR. The challengers are pushing, Aberdeen are drawing fans in with a very decent pool of players, pushing Celtic all season. Their vital win against Caley Thistle - our away opponents on Saturday afternoon - always a challenge, always tough, a defeat will give the Dons a * of light with games against us still to come.

The potential arrival of a new challenger next season, a new club, a new Glasgow derby. There's a stirring with the notion of 3 powder-keg Scottish Premiership matches. Fans will want to be part of the action, fans will want to take part in a live Walking Dead event - watching the undead attempt to rise from the barren wastelands of Govan.

Yes, the core ingredients of a mouthwatering dish have been purchased and prepared - things are simmering just now. Chef Ronny is delicately bringing it to the boil.

Come the summer window - a bit of seasoning and garnish is all that's required to completed a fine piece of dining for the Celtic fans to devour at Chez Ligue des Champions, another title, maybe another treble.

While we can look forward to feasting on truffles and caviar - the darkside of the City can look forward to scraping off cold chips; welded to a tossed away chip poke.

    Hail Hail :shamrock:

Don't remember a thing about the game last night, partly because I forgot my specs but mostly because I was * pished out my head.

Last thing I remember was a group of Aussies asking me to take a picture of them on the Celtic Way and I pretended to steal their camera. :smiley-laughing002:

From the Highlights Johansen looked excellent and Guidetti with some great link up play, something miss when Griffiths plays is the one touch passes from the edge of the box through the defence. Griffiths missed a sitter as well, could been 5 goals with ease, stadium looked dead right enough.

Was a great game I thought, should really have scored atleast 4 or 5, nice flowing football from Izaguirre, Armstrong, Johansen and Mackay-Steven.

Izaguirre was playing like a number 10 in the 2nd half

Yes he was excellent all night. Playing him in his usual spot and Armstrong sitting deeper in the absence of Brown was for sure the right call as both players were dominant last night.

On another note after yet another 2-0 win that saw us miss a barrel load of chances how good would we be if we had a really quality natural goalscorer in the team. Griffiths is the best we have at the moment I think but we are lacking a bit in that department at the moment. Being picky I know considering how well things are going right now but just an observation.

    Nice one mate:50:

Your point is a valid one and most of us are in agreement that a striker is a number 1 priority, to play the way we do needs a link up man who can score goals, preferably with a bit of speed. Easy to find:87:. A Hooper type would be ideal, in Ronny we trust..
