To be fair i think your probably right. I though it was a pk and a yellow never a straight red so I would say there is a very good chance your right and that red was a make up for nothing been given on that horrific first half tackle on Dembele.

Can I just say and I know I have said this before in recent times but all the bleating and hand wringing I have read since yesterday just makes this win all the sweeter because you know it just shows us how much this is really hurting them.

That's an abysmal way to referee and I hope no ref thinks like that.

I thought at the time it was a soft penalty having seen a replay it certainly was , bit embarrassed for Scotty bhoy now tbh and the ref made a total * of it all in all.
Overall job done, B2BT's here we come :62:

don't be.....if that happened at the other end i'd be jumping it was soft but i would question why our defender was raising his hand to the guy. Also, travelling at speed the slightest knock can throw you off!!

Yesterday was a top day from start to finish. From meeting Jim on the train who is from Glasgow but now living in Warrington, the game and the atmosphere and coming home afterwards and staying out. Can't beat that winning feeling. HH[IMG][IMG]

That's all fine and dandy but if you're happy for our players to do that and reap the benefits then you forfeit the right to complain when players dive and cheat against us in big games. Personally that is not a position I would ever be comfortable taking. When players cheat against us it infuriates me.

I think thats the thing. It happens in big games against us but we never do anything about it. You have to fight fire with fire suppose. Look at suarez last year he pretty much wrapped himself around izzy and made izzy bring him down for a penalty. Thats not cheating thats just taking a clear advantage that exists in modern football. Playing with dignity or whatever and getting beat while the opposition takes the ref for everything hes worth is of no benefit to us.

For the european stage we are not cute enough. I dont care what anyone says about how honest they want the boys to be . we are at a disadvantage if were being so honest in games. Its part and parcel of the game now and has been for a while. We just dont do enough about it. If you see otherwise than youre deluded to the reality of modern football.

It's not like referees in Scotland aren't abysmal though.
