I understand that, but I still am a little worried about this. The player did not play Legias first three matches in Europe in this campaign, but they forgot to register him for those matches. I don't know, but isn't it something about the fact that they acted with good intent, and the fact that de player didn't have an impact on the final result?

I know that rules are rules, and I enjoy it as much as you that Celtic are through :)

But just a little worried - thats all :)

What odds would you give a team who wins even when it loses :52:

I am also worried as the result of UEFA's decision is unreasonable and not proportional to the breach. It remains very unsure if the appelate body will confirm the decision.

Call me a negative *, but people on here should hold their horses for now.

If we start vs Maribor with Stokes up front then we deserve to go out.

Not a bad draw. Maribor are a reasonably good side, probably better than Legia, we need to get our * together and get players in for this.

delighted to be given another crack of the whip, but anyone thinking we are gonna stroll this is way off. Fact remains we got totally felt by Warsaw, a lot of improvement and hopefully a few signings needed. Plus they lost 4-3 on aggregate to Sevilla last year who won it. No mugs.

Even if they did act in good faith, clubs are well versed in these procedures. To serve a suspension, a player has to be registered. Otherwise, the club can place another eligible player in the squad and use them in the suspended player's place. No real punishment there, is there?

As others have said, other cases like this have been met with a 3-0 walkover for the opposition side.

    No need to worry.

you shouldnt be uefa have made a decision and did it to make sure it was done for the draw. if there was any doubt they wouldnt have made the decision like that it messes up the seedings for the draw and everything so really if Legia were to get put back in they would need to re-do the entire draw

Ronny Deila confirms Celtic working to have players in for Maribor tie. "Expects" to have at least one in before the first leg.

Not really mate - both teams would have gone through as seeded, so a successful appeal would merely see Legia switched in to play Maribor (away leg first) while we would be playing in Kazakhstan for a place in Europa.

Agreed. I think Maribor will be easier than Legia Warsaw and if we can keep eleven players on the field ( Ambrose ?) in both ties, we should qualify.

Can anyone explain how the Debrecen case is different? I'm having an argument with dumb Poles at my work and don't have much time to search for it here.

    Cheers.
