the best thing to come out of last night was the fact we learned and moved on from legia (both legs), and that shows that RD is aware that we dont have the players to play the way he wants, and that he and the players need to adapt to a way that suits all, until he is backed with more players of his own. i was really pleased with team selection, formation, attitude, and substitutions.

Have looked again and your right. In fact the goalscorer was Lustig's mark. Lustig lost him and he got inside of Mikael in the box and scored. Kayal, who had a great game last night, put the defence in so much trouble by not cutting out that ball. Strange, but it's usually the simple mistakes that get us into so much bother.

Good result, and a good performance last night.

I think it's safe to say that Deila has learned a lot from the Legia games. We looked a far more solid unit. The inclusion of Kayal, who for me was MOTM by a distance, was a great decision from Ronny. The only disappointing aspect of last night, was how easily we were cut open for their goal. I don't think you can pinpoint one player for it, I think it was poor collectively from us.

A score draw I would have taken prior to the game, and I think we can feel slightly hard done by not to come away with a victory. I still think we should have had a stonewall penalty also.

Happy with the result but felt we were a little overly cautious at times. Thought Maribor were a better side than that (at least on that showing), Legia certainly had more quality. Only guy who worried me was Tavares. Disappointed we played the late corner short when we had a great chance to nick it, a counter-attack was highly unlikely as they looked knackered.

Feel confident of winning by a few next week at a rocking Celtic Park, I don't think their players will have ever experienced that sort of atmosphere. Far from over though.

My main worry upon reflection was not only how easy it was for them to score. But also, how often we let them get a shot away. Granted they were mostly from outside of the box but in the groups if we get there you can't allow world class players that time and space, because they will score a few even from range.

Clean sheet and we're dining at the big table. Simple as that.

That was always going to happen after Legia. To do anything else would have been career suicide from Ronny.

In hindsight we could have probably put it to bed last night but there was no way of knowing that pre match.

I'm confident we'll finish them off with a bit to spare next week.

Van Dijk had left too much space so the ball could get slipped through as well though. Was terrible defending all round. I'm hoping that's down to a fledgling partnership between Denayer and Van Dijk though.

Their goal was poor collectively from us. Van Dijk had pushed up, and there was a massive gap between him and Denayer, Lustig didn't track the runner, and both Kayal and Mulgrew weer guilty of not pressing the ball. It was just poor on the whole from us. Only negative of the night for me though.

Yep hope you're right but when I saw the goal, Paddy Bonner's observation about VVD came to mind. He acknowledged he was a good young player with loads of potential but the thing that concerned him was he sometimes seemed to switch off. Almost like a David Luiz moment last night.

Just watched Deila's interview on the STV site. His honesty is amazing.

Even Your thread: "CONFIRMED - Celtic IN, Legia OUT! Champions League Play off draw live at 11AM!"
is CLOSED, I know why, such a shame....

Even You closed Your forum for Polish guys, I know why. Such a shame.

    What to say....
You probably know how Celtic is NOW considered in Warsaw.
As */loosers 1:6 and UEFA friends (Sion?).
    That is all.

You probably should be called not "Celtic Glasgow" but "Sion/Legia Glasgow". Poor at the pitch, strong in UEFA. Congratulations. Being strong at UEFA is a very big success.

Many congratulations from Warsaw after 1:1 with Maribor.
Draw is a big success for Sion/Legia Glasgow, again poor at the pitch.

Congratulations for being in CL. You deserved it, many strong men in UEFA, You deserved your place in CL (sarcasm). Sion, Warsaw. We in Warsaw have not many supporters in UEFA so we lost after winning 6:1. You write that we are a * team (to cut off Your conscience), what a paradox: Warsaw fought with nazis in 1944 (Warsaw Uprising) when you were sitting at Your * save in Glasgow in a whole 2nd World War. You call us nazis.... the only nation, Polish, who really fought with Adolf H.

    What a shame.

    My heart was with Celtic.
    Now....

I wish You successes in CL, another 1:6 with Barca and 1:6 with Legia.

Such a big team in the past, such a shame in nowadays.

Good Luck in CL, you "Sion/Legia/UEFA Glasgow"!
(Please do not call yourself CELTIC)

And please do not sing: "You`ll never walk alone" before the match and leave Your team and the stadium after the first/second goal for Legia at Edinburgh.

    What a shame.....

Half of the stadium empty and a week after: proud after 1:1 with Maribor.
    Shame on You, guys.

"Sion/Legia/Barcelona 1:6 Glasgow", that is what You should be called, guys.

    Shame on You.
    Regards.
From Warsaw - the town, which never gave, and never will, up.

Legia Warszawa, proud for fighting with nazis, not proud to be heard that "Sion Glasgow" call us nazis.

Good luck today with your big game fella. I'm sure your embarrassment of a club will reach the Champions League in the next decade or so, don't worry.......

It's hilarious that he's taken the time to write that post and no one's going to read it. :56:
