Maribor are a very poor team. Their centre half is 1000000x more of a bomb scare than Ambrose is.

We, unfortunately, are just as bad as them. Our club is in a very depressing state right now

the denayer one is a complete nonsense to me i can only think he must have been injured

he is a much better player than ambrose and was a good partner to to vvd in the first game

lustig isnt a centre back why play him there ?

the biggest thing that has annoyed me about ronnie though is that statement when he first came in he said he wasnt going to change things right away then did exactly that

we should have played lennys style and formation to try and get into the champions league if we failed then was the time to try and advance ronnies formation and style

ive seen us in games like this before at celtic park not knowing whether to attack or stick with what we have got

but you just can't play an important game like this with so many players being *

but its done and dusted now the manager needs to get his players and given a year to do his job and we'll see at the end of it where we are

Too many players had * mares last night but by far and away the worst player on the park was Ambrose, he's a poor mans David Luiz and he's * *.

Caught out of position, terrible passing, beaten to the ball time and time again and then the goal itself. It was a great cross from the Maribor lad but why the * did Efe leave it? Did he get a shout from someone? Experience is no replica for quality. Get him to * and bring in another two centre backs (i say two because Van Dijk will be offski aswell no doubt).

sad to say this, did anyone see the chance ambrose missed and then the face he made after it, im at the stage its his face thats annoying me now. harsh but true

Worst team on the park I have seen in a long time ,never looked like scoring

At least last year against shacktar we had a bit of drive and passion and pressed all the time

Shambles last night. Ambrose needs a severe boot in the baws for the amount of times he let someone just step past him. Johansen was awful in posession as was Mulgrew and Berget. Kayal should have stayed on, unless he was struggling then i don't know what Ronny was thinking. Brown may have his critics but we badly missed him last night

Depressing seeing a midfield of Mulgrew and Johansen when just a few seasons ago we had Wanyama and Ledley bossing the midfield.

 

Time for a major change. Van dijk will be off. Hope to see something along the lines of;

Matthews coming on cost us the game. For the most part, Ambrose defending well from his position in midfield, which isn't his natural position. He got back and cut out some goal scoring chances for Maribor. Going forward he didn't offer anything at all.

Areas you don't change mid game is the defense. That's what cost us the game. Putting Ambrose to center back and Matthews to wherever he was supposed to be playing was the real disaster of the game. When was the last time Matthews did anything in the Hoops? He is honestly murder.

The other incredible decision is, when the first sub is made at half time, it changes the game in our favor. They start making mistakes and we decide to split up the Commons, Berget and Stokes link up play and put on Matthews and Boerrigter.

I'd also like to say the bench was devoid of real attacking options and it fails me how we don't have Balde, Pukki, Fridjonsson signed and nowhere near the team.

if they were signed and are * fair enough, but you only had to look at the set pieces to see how weak they were in the air. That's a sever lack of understanding from Collins.

Are the two backroom guys just their to say how wonderful a player Boerrigter is in training, to put bairns in the starting 11 against ICT?

We should have been going into this game on a high having turned over ICT. That sends a message out to Maribor.

We sent out the wrong message and this is why it's unacceptable. Doesn't mean i'd be asking for the managers head just yet, but the changes are made by the collective backroom staff and it's all very well bringing in Deila. But for * sake, what the * is John Collins and John Kennedy doing as part of this setup.

surely to * they should be developing the kids. Shouldn't be anywhere near the first team in terms of getting in Deila's ear during games.

First thing i'd do would be to have Lunov taking over as the number 2. That might sort out one or two problems in terms of communicating ideas. Clearly Collins knows * all about the team, if he did he wouldn't be bringing on Matthews and Boerrigter when we were totally in control of the game.

It's not Deila and Ambrose i'd be getting shot of, it's John Collins and John Kennedy.

They're the guys you want heavily involved in developing young players, but the first team? Nah it's not for me.

Manager's job should be a dictatorship, not a democracy. This is the main problem for me. Boerrigter and Matthews come on and you could hardly argue that they are better than Pukki and Balde and they've been punted out the door by the looks of things.

 

Ambrose is a centre half and Lustig is a full back so why would you chose to swap positions and in particular for our biggest game of the season.

Stokes hasn't scored in Europe for over 20 games if I'm not mistaken so you play him and drop Commons who you expect to score every game.

I could go on but those type of decisions make it hard to see why they even bother hiring a manager atall and just save the money and haul someone out of Brazen Head to sit on the bench and call the shots.

 

How do you know Collins made the subs?
