Celtic V Man Utd Thread

Well the best thing about the first game being at Old Trafford is that certainly nobody gives us a prayer of a chance. Especially given they have made such an impressive start to their season. They certainly are the favorites obviously but anything can happen on the day and certainly while we have had some very poor road performances in the Champions League we have also had very little luck when you think back to the defeats against Lyon, Juventus, Bayern Munich etc so maybe we can get a break or two and get a famous result.
It sure would be a nice spot to end our away woes in the Champions League thats for sure.

think we could get a draw down there aslong as gravesen and co track back and help out at the back as our defence is still a bit ropey.

a draw at old trafford is about best we can hope for i think we'll surprise them with an early goal, here hopeing anyway

 

Talk about dreaming... half of you in here are dillusional. If we picked up 3 points out of 6 against Man Utd I would be very satisfied. We will get beat at old trafford, although being optimistic, I think it will be by only 2 goals

i think we will get beet down there, would be extatic at any points from down there, think we could get the win at cp though 1-0 maybe 2-1.

And will Bobo be fit in Time??? As we know Celtic always play better and step it up when were the underdog(Barca 1-1 draw - 05, Liverpool 3-1 - 03 etc) but when were the favourites the pressure gets to us(Artmedia 0-5 05, Basle 2-3 03).. So if we can get anything off united it will be a huge bonus..

 

Thats true Spear but this team largely differs from the team that O'Neill had. Lots of new faces on the pitch and off it. Lets hope these new people can handle the pressure.

 

I will be over the moon with 4 points from the 2 ties although 3 or even 2 points from the games wouldnt be the end of the world .

 

I'm a greddy Cun* I want 6 out of six in our first 2 games! but with us playing Utd first away a draw will do me and then our next game at home, hopefully we win our HOME games and pick points up away we have to or we wont make it through!!

i think 1-2 at old trafford (magic ,mcmanus) and at cp 2-1 with a double for voh

 

1-1 old trafforf and 1 - 0 to celtic at paradise

 

I think the chances of us getting anything down there are very slim. Our defence is slow in the middle, Rooney, Saha and Ronaldo will be relishing this game.

It'll be a backs to the wall scenario, lets just hope big VOH can hold up the ball the way the great man Sutton used to, then we might have a fighting chance.

Despite this result, as long as we dont lose at home, the second place will be decided by the matches with the other teams.

its gonna be a hard one against ManYoo not least because our team is not playing like a team. We can field eleven pretty good players but if the coach doesn't get them playing as a team we have no chance. I know its early for the new guys to settle in but some of the "old new guys" (Zurawski) needs a kick up the a*** he's not trying at Aberdeen. I also am not entirely convinced that Naylor is the left back answer.
