Celtic v Liverpool Dublin August 10th (K.O 5pm).

I'm watching the Australian ESPN link (I think) n the English commentator is a complete tube. Saying Celtic on their best day would finish mid table in the EPL at the most. Other commentator was saying well you need to consider the amount of fans they have and the money they would get from being in the EPL and the other guy was like "nahh I don't see it" with his mad clatty English accent. *

 

With some luck a good game from Balde will change Lennon's mind about Sammy up front.

Good first half. Balde and Zaluska standouts

 

i like irvine, he looks like a reliable player. mcgeouch just aint very good though. hed be better moving onto another spl team. good performance so far.

 

This is the first game we can truly compare Balde on and he has played well - sometimes he holds it up but doesn't move it on quickly enough but overall good performance.

Lustig and Mouyokolo look good at the back.

Irvine is having a fantastic game versus the likes of Gerrard and Lucas.

 

Good game to watch, we are playing quite well but need to stop giving the ball away and losing cheap tackles in midfield...McGeough need to up his game , Moyokoulo has given me more confidence at the back in 45 mins than Ambrose did in a whole season !!!!

Amido looking confident, rag-dolled their defenders a few times. Jackson Irvine looks like he could turn into a player too, if he can get his passing sorted out he looks very cool on the ball. All in all a good performance compared to what I was expecting. Shame Stokes couldn't finish that chance at the end.

 

BT Sports the Liverpool Channel. Owen, McManaaman and David James. Don't they realise Liverpool are not the force they were, bunch of also rans that hardly ever qualify for Europe anymore.

Balde playing much better than he has done before. Celtic look capable of scoring every time they go forward.

Quite agree its time for McGeouch to start living up to the hype as he been very poor in the first half .

 

Balde looks raw but very promising at the same time. Exciting times :icon_mrgreen:

 

A take my words back balde should do good for us, he looked like a big lump of wood in pre season......... his performance today has been decent, big guy at the back looks solid and am delighted with that 45 mins from our second string........... got to think thats a liverpool full strengh team minus suarez and they have spent a fortune on some of that talent

Celtic's reserves doing very well, Liverpool have basically a First team out.
Zaulska, Matthews, Irvine and Balde playing great, Stokesy could be doing more.

Looks like there are no Celtic fans there.

Balde has been really impressive, agree with Mouyokolo too.

Stand out performers for us so far. Coutinho for them though is absolutely terrific, he's ran the show out on the left.

 

I love the balanced studio guests BT Sport have. David James and Steve McManaman.

 

The commentators and pundits BT have got are * awful. Hopefully they won't be regulars.
