Beecause the place will be full of obnoxious Dublin EPL fanboys.

Plus the price of everything will be extortionate.

I'd rather it was at Anfield.

I miss the Battle of Britain European nights. Hope we get one if we get to the group stages next season.

Was this not supposed to be for Gerrards testimonial? I thought it was cancelled when they announced they were playing Olympiacos instead.

I could be wrong but wouldn't we get a pretty small allocation if we played at Anfield in a competetive game ?

We'll have European qualifiers and will the SPL not have started by then? Seems daft.

I don't know the away allocation for Anfield mate, but I'm thinking back to the Blackburn game at Ewood Park during our UEFA Cup run in 2002/03. They gave us an entire stand behind one of the goals.

Blackburn was absolutley brilliant. I was right behind that goal as Sutton scored. I have also been to Anfield for Ronnie Moran's testimonial and that was brilliant as well as we had the whole end behind the goal and would love to go again for a testimonial. I just have it in my head that we got a pretty small allocation for that game where Thompson and Hartson scored.

Personally speaking I love going to the testimonials and friendlies in England as we take a huge support and generally just have a great day regardless of the score. TBH I am not that bothered about playing Brit teams in Europe as I don't really pay that much attention to the EPL and personally I would be just as happy to see us beat better teams from Spain or Germany.

Back on topic. I went to Dublin for that tournie with City,Inter and the Irish all stars team and before I went everyone was saying how expensive it would be. I heard the tickets were going to be pretty expensive but other than that I don't think it will be that bad. Although I think last time alot of fans spent most of their time in the Players lounge which I don't think is open again yet.

Don't know if I will go as tbh when it wasn't confirmed earlier I put it down to paper talk and haven't budgeted for it.
