Yep, can't blame the lad as he's showing for the ball and when he's playing quick football he looks fine but as soon as he has time on the ball he looks like a rabbit in headlights.

The fact he’s missed with an elbow a split second before is confirmation that it was deliberate.

We're so wasteful in possession at times. Lazio is there for the taking, but a slip of concentration is enough to send our whole team on the back heels. We also need to block out those diagonal passes in the second half.

 

Think we've played well overall. First 20 mins had some of the best football we've played this season, goal was sublime. Aside from two brainfarts Scales has been immense. If he can cut those disasterous passes out he'll be an excellent option for us going forward, don't think many expected that.

Yang getting it tight I see. Think he's been quite positive with some decent runs personally. His link up play hasn't come off, not on the same wave length as players around him at times, but think he's done OK and he'll improve in time.

Hatate has had some decent touches. Still has a knack of playing a really dodgy ball inside sometimes but he's been alright.

There will be chances for both teams second half, anyone's game but just being honest, I still think we'll do very well to come out this CL campaign with a win under our belts. Obviously hope I'm wrong, but the difference compared with our league is night and day.

 

100%, the system works better for that with the two in midfield instead of the two 8s pushed high. Ange's system works with top top class players but for us it makes such a difference having another body in the middle of the park.

Ref is a * blind * and Lazio are well able to capitalise on it. He’s missed two absolutely blatant cards for them.

Think Parma might be the beter option the way were playing more pass and move with runs in between, where yang wants to go at players more for what iv seen
