Pukki reminds me of Kenny Miller runs about daft closing everything down with no end product.

Sad to hear, after the last crowd was decent.

Thought Pukki was quite poor to be honest. Shame as well cos I really wanted him to kick on from the weekend. His effort was good but his hold up play needs quite a bit of work. Could still have had a couple of goals tonight as well, didn't have a great view being at the other side of the stadium but the one that flashed across him in the first half, that's where you need your strikers sticking a leg out. Anything on it and it would have been in. Snatched at his chance in the 2nd half as well, if he kept it low there was no way that keeper was getting down to it.

I agree that he wasn't much of a threat but I don't think his general play was poor. Off the ball, he was excellent and caused Kilmarnock a lot of problems. He's crying out for a creative midfielder to pick out his runs, hopefully Johansen. Brown and Ledley just don't have that vision. I focused on Pukki tonight & his movement is genuinely brilliant. I know that doesn't really mean anything if it doesn't translate into an attacking threat but I don't think it's entirely his fault. He won't get on the end of crosses and most of the balls into our forwards come from wide areas.

There were a couple of moments where he didn't stand his ground or lost the ball too easily but he didn't do badly. Missed one good chance but he had his back to goal (arguably poor positioning).

    Baldé's definitely looked more dangerous.

Yeah mate. Van Der Sar holds the British record for most minutes without conceding. Think it's like 1300min. Lennon mentioned it the other day that it was something to aim for.

He's much smarter than Miller. His movement to open up space for Mulgrew's goal was so subtle but brilliant. He only had two chances tonight - missed one (the more difficult one) completely and the second one was well-saved.

People seem to blame a lack of chemistry on one player rather than... the chemistry. Sometimes he zigs when Commons expects him to zag, but that doesn't mean he's a poor player. I actually think his technique is decent, his work rate is much higher than what I expected from him, and his movement is really, really good. I've said it before but there have been many times when his runs are not rewarded. He had one tonight when Ledley (I think) just had to cushion a pass to him but he weighted it too much and sent Pukki to the endline. A capable pass would have seen him presented with an opportunity like the one which was saved.

In the paper the day it said the British record was 1196 minutes, set by Chris Woods playing for der hun in the 86/87 season.

Van Der Sar beat it a few years back. From the mail 'today

If the miserly defence that’s been the bedrock of such form holds firm again against the Ayrshiremen, a 10th successive clean sheet in the league will be racked up - equalling the club record of 1913-14.
Fraser Forster is also just five games shy of beating Edwin van der Sar’s British record for consecutive clean sheets in the league - and with each passing week further milestones come into view.

Wiki: Longest goalkeeping run without conceding a goal: 1,311 minutes, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edwin_van_der_Sar"]Edwin van der Sar - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame] (for Manchester United, [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2008%E2%80%9309_in_English_football"]2008–09 in English football - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia[/ame])

Magnificent performance , very entertaining , some wonderful football, all eleven
starters all played very well. Wee James and Joe Ledley were the best IMO .
I thought big Charlie and Izzy were also brilliant . Becoming nerve wrecking
watching Celtic, winning isn't enough now we need to keep clean sheets.
We shouldn't forget Lennon , who has moulded a well balanced entertaining
team . Putting together many unknown and just average players building a
squad , far better than the sum of the parts .

Woods will probably hold the Scottish record. Conveniently, they ifgnore the British record and focus on the Scottish one as it's a Rangers player that holds it.

Nah, he didn't play very well. He started brightly, and held it in pretty well I thought, but his touch got worse as the game progressed. He seems to lose confidence very quickly I feel if things aren't going right for him. Keeper made a good save from him just prior to him being subbed, but if I'm being critical, he should be going across the keeper, and not trying to beat him at his near post. His work rate couldn't be questioned though, I will agree with you on that.

Why did Boerrigter come on and play on the right again last night? We're crying our for a left winger.

I thought he was excellent. Very harsh to see him brought off, thought he could well have scored if he'd played a bit longer. Looked like a goal was coming from him.

I don't think he was excellent. His work rate was, but his play become sloppy. The ball wasn't sticking second half anywhere near as much as it did in the first. The big chance he had he probably should have scored I felt, but he chose to try and beat the keeper at his near post instead of going across him. It was a good save though to be fair.

First game i have attended in the league since i had to give up my season ticket, very enjoyable game, some lovely one two play with commons at the heart of the action.

Ledley with some silky skills after his goal, even broony was at it with that pirlo pass! Pukki had a good first half but disappointing second. Seems like it goes for him or it doesn't no real middle ground. His workrate though is exemplary.

Big Amido with his goal, delighted with it, in fact i proper celebrated like i do when we score in the CL i really want him to succeed.

Was 4 goals going on 6/7. I did think though he could have brought both Balde and Johansen on 10 mins earlier.

Excellent performance last night. Very enjoyable to watch and really but for some poor finishing on our own part that was easily 6-0 if not more. Good performances all over the park. Hopefully we can keep this type of form going because last night was flat out fun viewing.
