I have to agree to an extent with you mate. I wouldnt sack gs if he lost to rangers but he is seriously starting to annoy me with his selections and signatures.

Your right, people can go on about winning an spl title, lets face it, its not hard, its a two team league and the huns have had one worst teams in their history. Lets focus on europe and get some recognition there.

MAJOR PROBLEMS

This is NOT an attempt to start a thread because we didn't win!!!! Nor do I think it is an over reaction.

Anyone watching the so called game today would recognise the dross being played by the current team and the failure of the manager to address the many problems that exist.

This squad of players are no more than journeymen - apart from McGeady, there is no one to lift the excitement levels - he appears to be our only creative option now. The standard of football has undoubtedly deteriorated over the past couple of seasons, hence the growing number of empty seats at Celtic Park. Entertainment is the name of the game and there is very little on offer. It is boring, predictable, and mind numbingly mediocre.

For the manager to say that he is satisfied with his current squad is unbelievable - everyone can see different. Now he had come out after today's game and said “I can’t see anybody coming in and I don’t know if anyone is going out because it is amazing what can happen in 24 hours.”

My own opinion is that he has been very lucky in past seasons - that is all it is, an opinion - others will disagree. When I hear, and read of him being compared to Jock Stein, I shudder -a real insult to the great man's memory.

I believe that a decision has been taken at Board level to accept this mediocrity and to look no further than the SPL - there is no ambition.

 

Strachan is the team manager. He doesn't handle the finances.

 

We shouldn't have given McGowan on loan. And Metrobhoy, sorry, but I think Fletcher isn't good enough. I'd want Mikkael Forssell here.

We need to snap up ched evans, he's a gem of a player, i'd love to see him with skippy. Are midfield were poor today apart from mcgeady we created no chances for our strikers.

 

He was the only player creating something and having a go!

I'm getting a bit tired of these threads after every slip up.
What you guys are forgetting is that the lads had a gruelling semi-final a few days ago and came through it.
We slipped up today so get over it. Along the road to success there are many bumps and turns.
Some of you on here really make me sick. You never come out and start threads praising Strachan when we win, but the minute we lose you start ranting and raving.
It's like this every season since the wee guy took over and every season he wins us the league.
I'm beginning to wish he'd go myself now and we get a manger with great credentials that has only managed teams with loads of cash to spend and then when he finds it's a tough job building a decent team on a shoestring with fickle so called fans getting on his back he just packs it in, then you might just realise what a diamond we have in WGS.

You lot play the same old record time and time again.
It's like you only started watching football this season. Well, football is about winning AND losing. When we win the treble this season I suppose you'll all crawl back under yer stones until next season so you can wait for the next draw or, * forbid, a defeat.
