Terrible substitution,i think sheridan is one of the worst players at celtic

 

Total over reaction from the top post here. Having said that we were very poor today. We created nothing in the first half and it wasn't until the last 20 minutes that we even put any sustained pressure on Inverness. No creativity and control from our midfield until Crosas came on and started to get a hold of the ball and make some passes. No question Crosas must start alongside Brown against the huns in the middle of the park.

 

Perfect example right there.

 

He's the team manager, and managing the finances comes into that job role too, so I don't see why that should be sarcastic.

I'm actually quite happy with the result today, teams with new managers are always tricky to beat and to their credit they were well-organised and tough to break down.

On the positive side, I thought Naylor was immense.

haha fatigue sounds like the huns moaning last year if you got paid umpteen thousand a week a think would play as often as a was told and if a couldt would be training harder till i could. That was abismal and thats giving the team credit today.

Its common sense not to bring our best striker of for one of the worst players for Celtic. Its also common sence to play 3 up front when theres 5 minutes to go. If this isnt enough to prove that Strachan is below average then i dont no what is.

hail hail. This site has a core of people who clearly havent a clue about fitba. They just think we should win every game in the SPL or the manager should be sacked. They think we should be able to spend like we did under MON and just go out and buy a Sutton, Hartson, Lenny, Thommo group of players (probably in todays terms about 50 million for fees and wages BTW). Fantasists with no grip on reality.

The SPL is getting harder and our money advantage has dropped to the point where although its still big it cant buy you experienced quality that is all that much better than other SPL players. That is bound to make things far tighter. People need to get used to a lot more draws etc. The only problem today that was down to us was that some good players didnt hit top gear and that had a lot to do with the midweek marathon.

I've always said that I believe we play very poor as a team and I believe this is the backroom staffs' fault.

Individually you can't deny we have some very good players and the moments of brilliance of these players bail us out but overall they just don't seem to be performing .. wonder why?

To be fair, apart from this decision I don't think Strachan did much wrong and can't be blamed for the result. There's only so much a manager can do from the sidelines, he can't tell the players who to pass to every time they have the ball - he can scream at them not to lash it up the park every time but that's not going to stop them all the time is it.

It doesnt take a good manager to beat bottem of the league who havent kept a clean sheet all season, who are worth about 500k in total and havent won in 8 games.

 

The team is a joke,I think taking Naka of was a big mistake as he is the one player with that bit of class who can make something from nothing when we really need it.

 

I really cant remember the last time we played well, thats the saddest part.

 

mcdonald had taken a lot of hard knocks and Sheridan was the only option left. Perfect example of why Fletcher or someone needs to come in this window. I think you need to ask Lawell not WGS about this.
